@FashionableRes1 Actually everything about your post was false. There was water everywhere. Many air conditioned places. Tons of things for kids in the booths. Also, you weren’t an event coordinator. Prove it.

As an event coordinator myself I am absolutely dumbfounded at the level of incompetency throughout this event. No bottle fill stations, no cooling tents, no benches or shade to sit and eat or rest, no programming for children (or adults for that matter).

We did what real Americans do on the 4th. We got together with family and friends at a local beach Ate, took the littles tubing on river and drank few cold ones and watched our local fireworks show after the sunset. If Cheato had not co-opted the funding from America 250, ( s bipartisan commission working on the 250th for 10 years) into his Freedom 250 our local Air Guard unit could have done a flyover, out fireworks may have been a little more spectacular, we may have had more local events to celebrate 250 years of America. Instead he threw a party for himself that only a few thousand Americans could enjoy, rather than the millions America 250 included in its event planning. Nothing is more unAmerican than that.

Another word I'm sick of, when used in connection with Trump, is "agenda." Trump has cravings. Trump has impulses. Trump has pathologies. And he can't see beyond himself. I have a tough time hearing his cravings, impulses, and narcissistic pathologies reframed as an "agenda."

The idea that Democratic Socialists are dividing the party is establishment propaganda. Primaries are the time for disagreements to be had. Not everyone agrees that the status quo must remain. Progress can only occur through exchange of ideas and change in Congress. The world all around us has a great social protective wall. Only the US does not. If it takes a Democratic Socialist to provide it, that’s not division, but rather change. Wanting to end the genocide in Palestine and stopping all funding to Israel is not division, but rather its change. Change is uncomfortable, but America has always gone through tough changes to make life better for the people. Lincoln brought change and so did FDR and peoples lives were better as a result. Creating a country where the citizens can have free healthcare, free higher education, daycare for working families, maternity leave for new parents, good paying jobs, better unions, better infrastructure and more benefits us all except the filthy rich. Every American should want this. Today is our 250 year birthday and most of the workers in this country are poor and many more are uneducated. They have created a system to enslave the American people. Wanting to elect people we choose and who fight for the working people is not divisive. It’s common sense and it is change. Ask yourself right now what has Congress done for you in your lifetime that made your life better. Was it the federal minimum wage? No! Was it 400.00+ a month Obama care? Not likely when business should be providing you a comprehensive healthcare plan as part of your employment. Was it student loan debt that you can’t remove through bankruptcy when no one will hire you at wages to pay it back? Was it the 3,000 or more a month for a two bedroom apartment or the 7% interest rates on a home loan for a house that will drop 40% in value within a year or two of buying it? Is it the 4 to 5.00 a gallon gas prices or the 40-50% markup on food, lumber, home repair services, pet food, and every other service or utility you need in your life? Seriously, people electing Democratic Socialists is not division and for common sense people it should be unifying all over the political spectrum. Think about it, these people want to provide everything to you and stop giving it the few who don’t give a damn about you. The one ones who want to surveil you and keep you slaves to capitalism. The one system that has made them rich and us slaves. I’m a slave to no one. I will retire to a pension and social security. Why shouldn’t everyone have that opportunity. Stop buying the propaganda and start listening. Those who make determinations without listening, learning, or asking questions are fools. The 20 happiest countries on earth are Democratic Socialists. Why are they so happy? Why should ‘t we be so happy? The argument that we are too big or two diverse is bullshit. Mexico just got free healthcare for all. Europe is as large or larger than us and they all have it and more. Stop listening to the communist BS ploy. They will say anything to keep you from what you deserve. Without workers they would have nothing, so why do they get everything? So please, don’t come to me and tell me to stop being divisive when in fact I’m being quite inclusive.

WATCH: It looks like things are CHAOS at the National Mall as visitors for tonight’s Independence Day celebration are running back to the mall to keep going to their seats despite the Secret Service telling them to leave due to thunderstorms.

NYT: Several hundred people have refused to leave the National Mall despite an order to evacuate because of severe inclement weather that is approaching. Some are even arguing with Secret Service agents. At one point, a crowd of people began running back toward the stage. An officer is sternly repeating the order over a bullhorn and the crowd is booing. Many have begun chanting “U.S.A., U.S.A.” A federal law enforcement officer is trying to assure people that the event has not been canceled. One man walking by blamed the situation on “liberals in the weather service,” adding, “I think this is baloney.”
