@EdTaitWFC Concerned about the number of players sitting out this early in camp when you factor in average age of team. That being said gives a good chance to look at younger players and get vets healthy for regular season .

@EricMacramalla Assume it has something to do with Cassidy’s assistants that were left behind still being in a cub chase for now , but will soon be out of work when season ends. No distractions until then although the whole thing is a distraction now with the added media attention .

For the Knights to act like they can’t multitask is ridiculous. We all know this ends with another team hiring Cassidy this offseason anyway, so we might as well skip the charade.

@rickzamperin Ok with the endzone being altered to standardize across the league as right now you have 3 different shapes and sizes in CFL with MTL , TTO and rest of league . Jury still out on goal posts being moved .

And one last year with goalposts at the goal line, a 110 yard long field, and 20-yard long endzones. Looking forward to the 2026 #CFL season kicking off!

@DownGoesBrown Were Cassidy’s assistants retained when he was terminated ? Torts likely to bring in his own people in off season. If that’s the case Kelly within his rights to delay access until Knights playoff run is complete.

In fairness, GMs have lots of opportunities for roster moves in the playoffs, so finding 15 seconds to do the right thing like everyone else is going to be next to impossible.

I never liked pre-season games but is it ever great to see Canadian Football back with us(Sask vs Calgary). Can’t wait for the start of the 2026 CFL regular season. The possibilities are endless.

As disappointing as Winnipeg’s season was, they turned Logan Stanley, Luke Schenn & Tanner Pearson into Isak Rosén, Jacob Bryson, a 2027 2nd, a 2026 4th & a 2026 7th. Stanley played 8 playoff games, Schenn 2. Neither played Game 7. Pearson didn’t play in post-season for Buffalo.

@EricFrancis Regarding Cassidy, This is my theory: VGK may be aware that Cassidy wants to/will take some of the VGK coaching staff to his next stop. That would be too much of a distraction at this time.

@DTonOB Daniels looks like a practice roster project at best to me . Good kid and teammate from what I can see , but needs to get stronger and learn to process faster what he’s being asked 2 do at the pro level. Seems like we reached for him in draft when we could have got him later.
