You might not think about wildfires being a risk in our area, but warmer, drier weather in recent years has brought more frequent fire activity across Snohomish County.
Now through the end of June, the Snohomish Conservation District is offering free assessments to determine risks to your property.
They’ll also offer advice to make your home more fire resilient.
You can schedule an appointment for free at snocd.org/assess.

A South County Fire program working to break the cycle of addiction is also saving taxpayer dollars.
Coordinated Overdose Response by EMS, known as CORE, allows paramedics to administer the prescription drug buprenorphine to overdose patients - lessening opioid withdrawal symptoms.
That means fewer ambulance transports, emergency visits and 911 calls. It also means reducing risk of deaths from opioid overdoses in Snohomish County.
Watch the video to see proof that it’s working.

Used syringes, needles and lancets are not accepted in your household garbage or recycling. Dispose of them properly with the #SnoCoSolidWaste sharps collection pilot program. Simply collect them in a sharps-designated container, or hard plastic screw-top laundry detergent bottle labeled with "SHARPS" and bring them to the Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Station in Everett. For residential customers only. Learn more: bit.ly/SnoCoSW
