Wait, is this a 7 day high temp forecast for late January & early February? Yes. Fun fact. Saturday is the 76th anniversary of Seattle's all-time record low of 0. Instead, we'll be near-record warmth. And warmer than Florida. And without falling Iguanas. Eww. #wawx

During December 2025 flooding, #SnoCoPW teams responded to more than 300 locations to address flooding and damage. Many of the locations only required debris removal, but even this straightforward clean-up effort stretches resources. For example, Marsh Rd was closed due to water over the roadway for about two weeks. After waters receded, there was a large amount of debris to remove, including hay bales and pumpkins that floated from nearby fields. Cleaning up approximately two miles of the roadway and then inspecting it to ensure stability cost about $17,000. Requests for emergency financial assistance have been submitted. It is unclear at this time how much funding will be available or when it will arrive. In the meantime, crews will continue repairing what they can while keeping up with existing services and planning for the future.

When you see a road closure sign, it’s there for a reason, even when that reason may not be obvious. Even small amounts of water on the roadway can be hiding hazards—potholes, tree limbs, metal debris, downed power lines, and more. And driving into flood waters, even if you successfully make it through, can cause damage to the under carriage of your vehicle or flood your engine. Road Maintenance crews will remove signs when its safe to do so. Stay up to date with county road closures at bit.ly/SnoCoRoadsClos….
