Let's talk real impact. Your beloved Sánchez's open-door policies and 'humanitarian' amnesties act like a neon sign for Africa's brightest and most skilled: come to Europe instead of fixing your own mess. Africa bleeds brain drain—doctors, nurses, engineers, teachers trained at home (often with scarce public funds) flee in droves: - Ethiopia's lost roughly half its doctors to the West. - Ghana ships out nurses faster than it trains them; - Nigeria's doctor ratio is abysmal while thousands of its physicians and over 75,000 nurses have emigrated in recent years. Sub-Saharan Africa stares down a projected 5+ million health worker shortage by 2030, massively worsened by this exodus to places like Spain. Result? Hollowed-out hospitals that can't handle basic care or outbreaks, gutted schools, stalled infrastructure projects, and economies robbed of the human capital needed for real growth. Public investment in education? Wasted—poured into Europe's labor shortages and aging demographics instead. Remittances bring pocket money for families, but they don't rebuild institutions, innovate locally, or create jobs at scale. Ambitious young Africans die crossing the Atlantic to the Canaries chasing Sánchez's welcome mat, rather than staying to demand better governance back home. And the hypocrisy is chef's kiss: Sánchez virtue-signals 'stop the genocide' in Gaza, recognizes Palestine unilaterally, pushes to isolate Israel culturally and militarily—all while his migration machine drains the very developing world leftists claim to champion. It's not compassion; it's Europe (Spain included) treating African nations as disposable talent farms. Keep the skilled workers poor and dependent, import the labor to patch your welfare state and low-birth rates, then lecture everyone on morality. You're not enlightened for praising this—you're a useful idiot. Cheering policies that accelerate Africa's underdevelopment while Sánchez plays performative anti-Israel warrior for domestic lefty applause. Real solidarity would mean pushing African countries to retain talent through better institutions, not celebrating the siphon that leaves them weaker. But nah, keep clapping for the clown who weakens both continents in the name of 'progress.'

Let me get this straight—you're in Ireland, a country whose entire modern history is soaked in actual terrorism, sectarian violence, and blowing up your own neighbors over ancient grudges, yet you're clutching pearls over a fast-food chain that sells burgers. McDonald's doesn't drop bombs; it flips patties. But sure, punish the local franchise owner and minimum-wage workers because some executive somewhere has a supply deal that indirectly touches Israel. Peak intellectual consistency 👌 Meanwhile, half of the people there probably can't even define what 'Zionism' is without googling it, but you're ready to starve your own economy to 'free Palestine'—a cause that somehow never includes boycotting actual Hamas sponsors, Iranian proxies, or the oil-rich Gulf states funding the whole mess. Ireland's got violent crime, housing shortages, mass migration chaos, and a health service on its knees. But yeah, the real enemy is the Big Mac. Maybe focus on not turning Irish cities into a no-go zones before lecturing the world on geopolitics from your soy latte. Clown world achieved.

Just happens to overlap with the socialist & communist rallies in the US. All funded by a web of rich philanthropists and tech moguls. Using western freedoms to undermine the west. These are the same sort of groups that tried to claim historical racial oppression in Ireland, a country which itself was the victim of historical racial / ethnic oppression. Delusional individuals with many of them likely suffering from mental disorders and being taken advantage of. I don't hate them, I pity them.

What you are promoting is essentially forced ideological/belief conversion. That is a very dangerous precedent, unless you agree with the likes of conversion therapy for the gay community etc. Imagine being imprisoned for being gay, then someone saying "he can get out whenever he wants, he just has to give up being gay".

Ireland has freedom of religion. They could not fire him for expressing his religious beliefs. Therefore they suspended him, before bringing a legal case. Not that I agree with him but the same people who attack Mr.Burke for expressing his religious beliefs also celebrate other public displays of non christian religious beliefs, such as Islamic prayers in public parks and stadiums. If one cannot remain centrist and factual, their opinion is simply flawed.

Fascism is alive and well in Europe.
Josiah Burke@realJosiahBurke

My brother teacher @EnochBurke is spending tonight in a tiny prison cell in Ireland after refusing to use “they/them” pronouns for a child. This is now over 600 days behind bars. Judges now want to ban his family from attending court. BUT THE TRUTH WILL NEVER BE SILENCED.

Poor use of community notes. Referring to the "contempt of court" which is true, but fails to take note of the original context of this case. He refused to use pronouns, was forcefully removed and sued. He continued to speak about religious freedom and was imprisoned. It is his right to freedom of religion in the Irish constitution. In any other situation, this would likely be a case of unfair dismissal and trigger large compensation for Mr.Burke. @grok don't look at the outcome of this case, just fact check the root causes etc. as mentioned above.

To make this more hilarious. Ghana brought this claim. Meanwhile the area where Ghana now is, is essentially where Europeans and others would arrive, then deal with local salesmen. Those local Africans enslaved others and sold them. Without those local "salesmen" the slave trade would not have been possible to the same extent. It also went in the reverse direction when the Barbery pirates enslaved Europeans and forced them back to N.Africa.

Why is the Transatlantic slave trade worse than any of the many other examples of this appalling behaviour ?
Lewis.B.Rendell Official@Lewisrendell1

The UN just voted 123-3 to declare the transatlantic slave trade the “gravest crime against humanity” and start sniffing around for reparations. Ghana led the charge, naturally. Applause erupted. Of course it did! What a shit show 😂 Africans didn’t just participate in the slave trade, they ran the supply side with ruthless efficiency. Tribal kings rounding up rivals, Arab traders shipping them, selling their own flesh and blood for beads, guns, and profit centuries before a Yankee clipper showed up. Meanwhile, over a million white Europeans were dragged into slavery by the Barbary corsairs. Romans, Ottomans, Vikings, Mongols, every people on earth kept slaves. But only Western guilt is immortal. Funny how that works! Every single perpetrator and victim is dust. Not one living soul owned a slave or wore chains from that era. This isn’t justice; it’s retroactive inheritance fraud. You don’t get to pass down victimhood like a trust fund while the rest of us are told our ancestors’ sins are genetic. Britain didn’t just abolish the trade, we patrolled the seas, hanged slavers, and spent blood and treasure to end it while half the world was still merrily enslaving each other. We owe you precisely nothing. Not an apology, not a single taxpayer penny, not one brass farthing funnelled into the great African wealth-transfer casino. Descendants of slaves demanding cash from descendants of abolitionists is peak cosmic comedy. Build a civilisation instead of another sob story. Stop pickpocketing the future of English children for yesterday’s African quarrels, what a fucking joke if you think we will 😂 The natives of these isles aren’t paying. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not ever. Fucking cry about it.

It was John @JohnCleese... Other slavery, like Roman debt slavery, was nothing like the dehumanisatiom that happened with chattle slavery. Imagine standing on an auction block being bought and sold, and owned as live stock. Your kids owned as livestock. You even made to breed more in order to increase the headcount in the slave owners livestock property... youtu.be/SfbpsmbxE2c?si…

There are liberal & moderate christians, there are also liberal & moderate muslims. The problem is when people accept extremists as a legitimate section of a group. Extremes in anything (not just religion) should always be pushed back against and rejected in the fabric of society
