Today the Met celebrates banging up a prolific shoplifter. They are right. It’s good news. But today Labour’s new sentencing rules come into effect. And now criminals like this will escape prison. We can’t trust Labour to keep us safe. mynewsdesk.com/uk/metpoliceuk…

Read @JimAllister article for @Briefings_Brit on how the Windsor Framework is now broken, failing in its own terms! ‘The Windsor Framework was agreed between the UK Government and EU in context of the provision of Article 16 which is devoted to the provision of ‘Safeguards’. The fact that the UK Government and EU determined to include Article 16 in the Windsor Framework underlines the fact that it was well appreciated that there were risks and unknowns associated with the operation of the Framework and recognition that it would not be reasonable to expect either party to the agreement to accept the operation of the Windsor Framework outside the parameters of the officially recognised Safeguards. One of the key safeguards is ‘trade diversion’. However, the newly published NISRA trade figures (for 2024) demonstrates that, in the context of the operation of the Windsor Framework, trade diversion is taking place such that the rate of Northern Ireland’s integration with the Republic of Ireland economy is significantly greater than that in relation to Great Britain. Indeed, once one allows for inflation, there has been a real terms cut in purchases from Great Britain. This makes complete sense given that the operational impact of the imposition of the Irish Sea Border is to fetter the movement of goods from GB to NI such that the seminal FSB report, Windsor Framework Realities, demonstrates that over a third of businesses have stopped supplying Northern Ireland because of the costs of negotiating the Irish Sea Border. In these developments we see that the Irish Sea border is being used to increasingly gather NI out of the old UK Internal Market for Goods and into an expanded Republic of Ireland Internal Market for Goods, a prerequisite for the break-up of the UK and formation of an all-Ireland polity by stealth. Thus, the economic foundation of the nation is being undermined beneath our feet. The EU is hoping it can sleepwalk us out of the UK and into the Republic of Ireland, but we are very much awake! What is particularly concerning in all this, though, is the fact that the new figures only take us till the end of 2024. They are already 14 months out of date and in the intervening period many new aspects of the border have arrived, like the Parcels Border on 1 May 2025, the application of Plant Health Labels to farm machinery from June 2025, the termination of the Movement Assistance Scheme on 1 July, the coming into use of the full Border Control Posts from April through to September, the application of the Not for EU labels on a much wider basis from 1 July; the arrival of the Pet medicines border on 1 January 2026, the arrival of the Vehicle Type Approval Border from the end of 2025 etc. In this context, it is inconceivable that up to date trade figures would not demonstrate significantly more developed trade diversion. If the Government is really interested in ‘fully and faithfully’ implementing the Windsor Framework, as it likes to tell us, then it must ‘fully and faithfully’ implement its safeguarding provisions rather than ignoring them, hoping no one will notice. They already have.’ bit.ly/4bMWq6t

When a teacher has to go into hiding for showing a caricature of Muhammed, When a police officer asks protesters to leave their weapons at the mosque, When police chiefs consult community leaders of one faith, but no others, When grooming gangs still haven't been adequately investigated, When ambulances are destroyed because they are funded by Jews, And yes, when male Muslims pray en masse in public spaces, We're all quite rightly concerned that the country is going to hell in a handcart, whilst politicians mumble incoherently about the far right being a threat.

The Crusades were not random wars of aggression. The Crusades were the Eastern Christian response to centuries of Islamic conquest. They were primarily defensive wars. In early Christianity there were five centers of high authority: Rome, Alexandria, Constantine, Antioch, and Jerusalem. Each one had a Bishop and administered a large region, both politically and religiously. The origins were Apostolic and the cities were the core seats of Christian authority. Islam rose out of the Arabian Peninsula in the early 600s. Almost immediately after consolidating power in Arabia, the Muslim state launched rapid military expansion against its neighbors from 632 onward. Islam took 3 out of 5 of the Patriarchal Holy Sees (Alexandria, Antioch, and Jerusalem) in the 7th century. The Crusades were the Eastern counteroffensive. The Muslims had conquered the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) and were in Tours, France by 732. It took over 700 years for the Spaniards to expel the invaders. The Reconquista was a parallel Western front. The Ottomans laid seige to central Europe for hundreds of years. They took the Balkans and Constantinople fell in 1453. Vlad Tepes of Wallachia (reimagined in modern times as the horror character Dracula) fought them off heroically for 6 years and drove them out of his principality. They laid seige on Vienna in 1529 and were expelled from Vienna 160 years later. Only Rome remained from the original Holy Sees after 1453 when Constantinople fell. Things you don't learn in school these days.

The far-right National Rally may have failed to win the biggest races in French local elections, but it made serious gains across the rest of the country: The party and its allies have taken power in 55 new municipalities.
