Quiz in my Infinity class. Give a self-contained argument that the set of real numbers is uncountable. Be sure to state exactly what this means, and probably it would be good to mention the name of the kind argument you are providing.

Sounds like Iran will go on the move. Lightening fast attacks to hide among the oil fields inviting the US to attack and then before any notices all the Israeli nation friends with predominant Shia populations are taken over and Iran is sitting on the border of Israel with one more step to be taken.

🚨 NARRATIVE: “WE CANNOT WAIT ANY LONGER” — THE LANGUAGE BEFORE THE STORM The sentence did not arrive with context. It did not come wrapped in official seals or delivered through carefully worded diplomatic channels. Instead, it appeared the way many things do in modern conflict — abruptly, emotionally, and without clear origin: “We cannot wait for the U.S. Marines any longer.” For a moment, it felt like a signal. Not just a statement, but a shift. Across the region, tension had already been building. The movement of American forces, including elements of the United States Marine Corps, had not gone unnoticed. Warships repositioned, air defenses heightened, and intelligence networks sharpened their focus. These were not declarations of war, but they were not routine either. They were the quiet movements that often precede louder ones. In Tehran, the rhetoric had been evolving in parallel. Statements grew firmer, less measured, more defiant. The leadership of Iran was no longer speaking in cautious warnings but in tones that suggested readiness, even impatience. Not impatience in the literal sense of waiting, but in the strategic sense — a refusal to be seen as passive while adversaries positioned themselves closer and closer. And so, when that phrase began to circulate, it resonated. Not because it was confirmed, but because it fit the mood of the moment. It suggested a turning point: the idea that the waiting phase of this confrontation was over. But beneath the surface, the reality was more complex. Nations do not “wait” for their adversaries in the way the phrase implies. They prepare, they calculate, they signal. The language of impatience is often a mask for something else entirely — a projection of confidence, a warning disguised as urgency. It is meant to be heard not just by the public, but by decision-makers across the ocean, in command centers and briefing rooms. In Washington, the movement of Marines is not a simple act. It is layered with meaning. It signals readiness without commitment, strength without immediate escalation. It is a way of saying, we are here, and we are prepared, without crossing the line into direct confrontation. Every deployment carries with it a message, and every message invites a response. Iran’s rhetoric, whether precisely worded as the viral quote suggests or not, serves as that response. It pushes back against the narrative of American dominance. It asserts that Iran is not reacting from a position of weakness, but from one of calculated resolve. In the language of geopolitics, it is a refusal to yield psychological ground. And yet, the danger lies not in what is clearly stated, but in what is implied. Because when both sides begin to speak in absolutes — when patience is replaced with urgency, when warnings become declarations — the space for de-escalation begins to shrink. Misinterpretation becomes easier. A movement intended as deterrence can be read as preparation for attack. A statement meant as defiance can be heard as a trigger. This is how conflicts move from tension to action. Not always through a single decision, but through a series of signals that gradually close the door on restraint. 📌 BOTTOM LINE The phrase itself may be exaggerated, paraphrased, or even misattributed. But the sentiment it reflects is real. Tensions are rising. Military positioning is intensifying. And the language on both sides is becoming sharper, more urgent, more final.

@Nazir64446921 @DanBurmawy There is no fool more gullible than one who dies believing he'll get infinite virgins in heaven because he got conned by the imams so they can get the real sex and riches in the real world.

In Islam, when the Romans came to arrest Jesus, he hid among his disciples and offered them a deal: “Who will take my place, and Allah will reward him with a castle in paradise?” The Islamic Jesus bargains for his own survival. He offers paradise as currency for someone else’s suffering. He escapes and someone else dies. This fits perfectly with Muhammad’s method, castles, virgins, rivers of wine, palm trees in paradise, divine bribery, used to extract whatever Muhamed desired from his followers. The Islamic version of Jesus is repackaged in Muhammad’s image: transactional, self-preserving, power-driven. The real Jesus, the biblical Jesus, didn't ask anyone to die for him, he died for us. allah and his so-called “prophet” aren’t worthy to untie His sandals.

@sfbukhari @DanBurmawy Jesus washed the feet of beggars. Yes his status was higher. His status is due to his sacrifice. You don't understand status because you'remore interestedin the fantasy of having sex with infinite virgins. A more stupid lie i have never heard and you should be less gullible.

Utter bullshit.. there is no such thing in Quran. Yes it is mentioned that Jesus Christ was ascended to Heavens and his look alike was crucified. It is more insulting when u present jesus a weak person whipped dragged beaten and crucified by people. Jesus status is much higher than this in Islam

@TextCultEmpress @DanBurmawy So what you're saying is; Islam is really about following the imams, not the Quran. Essentially the Quran gets modified. Yes that checks out. I agree.

You’re mixing things here. What you described isn’t actually in the Qur’an. The Qur’an just says that **Isa (Jesus) wasn’t killed or crucified, and that it was made to appear that way. (4:157–158). The whole “who will take my place” story comes from later interpretations, and even there it’s not agreed on or clearly established. So you’re kind of building an argument off a debated narration and then treating it like it’s the core of Islam, which it isn’t.

@ArbitraryOstric @nosilverv The mathematical term for a "leaky abstraction" is "a projection". In all reasoning we "project" the continuously varying analog universe onto the boolean domain of true and false. To do so is inherently a deception, but it's useful provided you're careful about the deception.

Finally understand the power of math… it works bc of ABSTRACTION! You abstract away the particulars maintaining a relationship of inheritance/entailment meaning: whatever you discover about (e.g.) 2 of [everything] applies to 2 of [anything in particular] (!!!!)

Cases like this are why the NHS can't afford to rely on migration. Far too many people can get away with having poor qualifications, or fraudulent qualifications. It puts patients at risk. Let's train more doctors and nurses here instead.

If you want to know what Nelson thought of Muslims, you may want to factor in Nelson's column. See that thing on his hat? It is a 'chelengk'. Nelson was the first non-Muslim to be awarded one - as thanks for his victory in the Battle of the Nile. It was gifted to him by Sultan Selim III, who was literally the Caliph at the time. Nelson was so proud of it, as well as wearing it on his hat, he added it to his coat of arms. It is now the literal highest point of Nelson's column - a gift from the leader of the Muslim world to a devout Christian.

What we witnessed in London at the historic Trafalgar Square, in a country built on Judeo-Christian values, was a group of people attempting dominance over our capital city and our culture. We are not going to surrender everything that was built over centuries and defended at great cost in two world wars for us to be a free, independent nation. The British people will not put up with this any longer — simple as.

I have mixed feelings about this. It’s a step in the right direction but again, avoids the main problem. The top 5 nationalities accounted for 39% of all asylum claims: - Pakistan – 11% - Eritrea – 9% - Iran – 7% - Afghanistan – 6% - Bangladesh – 6% So my question is, why not start with Pakistan?
