@SabuzView Actually, I did. Public education achievement by any objective standard has been in free fall the entire time the ED has existed, despite our funding public education at per-student levels higher than all but two or three other nations. They have presided over utter failure.

Question for MAGA from a liberal woman. "Hi, I'm just wondering if you guys who voted for Trump — did you vote for the Department of Education to be dismantled? Because that's what he's doing right now. Like, do you realize what that means for our kids? Education is going to go back to the states, and a lot of these red states are already underfunded as it is. They're not going to have the resources to properly educate our children. And let's be real — this is also about controlling women's bodies. Without federal oversight and funding tied to Title IX and things like that, access to reproductive healthcare and abortion information in schools is going to get even worse in a lot of places. If you're a parent, how are you okay with this? Our kids are already struggling with test scores and mental health — taking away the Department of Education isn't going to help. It's going to hurt them. So I'm genuinely asking: Did you vote for this? And if you did. Why?
