My new happy Minecraft place!
Hopefully, I'll have a new Hermitcraft episode soon. I've been through a lot of health stuff the last few weeks. That has made it very difficult to record.
@sophie_aldred Listening you to wonderfully read Dragon Flight, feels like Ace recounting a tale of high adventure. Thank you for still bringing pure magic into the world. 💜
I’m sorry about the slow down in videos. I’ve been dealing doctors appointments and it’s drained my energy and creativity. It’s a bit rough at the moment but we’ll get rolling again soon. Here’s cat picture
@mattporta11@Lindsbazillion@jeremyjudkins_ It's not an emotional card, it's a pragmatic response. There are only a finite number of donor organs. If you ever might need one you should play the odds and increase the available pool size. It's nothing to do with emotions and all to do with practicality.
@Snowpup@Lindsbazillion@jeremyjudkins_ I have no idea what you are talking about. You wanna play an emotional card, you’re idiotic. Jeremy’s emotional card is vastly bigger.
What they don’t tell you about being an organ donor:
It’s really easy to just say “Sure I’ll be an organ donor that sounds cool 😃” when you get your drivers license.
Just know the following information:
It will make your loved ones very traumatized during your final moments.
People will talk to your family about organ donation before they have even processed death is an option. No one really says you will be dying soon but it’s just implied by the conversation. It really feels like vultures circling, waiting for you to pass.
You will die in the OR, not a peaceful environment at home. You will be wrapped for surgery with only the top of your head and a single arm exposed for your loved ones to touch you.
Your death will be scheduled for a specific time. This time can be delayed or changed last minute which is extremely traumatic to your family. Your life may even be extended a day or two longer than your family would have liked.. just so your organs are still good while they work through all the logistics.
When they take you off life saving measures, your family will be with you in the OR. The family has to all scrub in… that part is kinda comical and does provide a little relief in that moment.
It’s not an environment you would dream about dying in, it’s sterile… surgical lights above. Your family watches you struggle to breathe after the breathing tube is removed. They watch your blood pressure and vitals slowly level out to nothing. Two doctors manually check your heart just to verify passing. They will call the time of death and your family will never forget that time.
When you pass away, your family has less than five minutes to exit the room before the process begins. They can’t really give you a hug but they will give you a kiss on the tip of your head through their mask. You have now passed and giving the gift of live can begin.
Your family rips their scrubs off and goes home.
Hours later, perhaps when your family is enjoying dinner and trying to forget the preceding hours, they will get a phone call “the procedure went great. Your loved one’s liver looked really good. It’s been shipped off now. No we can’t tell you where it’s going right now. ”
All of that being said… today someone is LIVING with Donald’s actual liver inside them. That blows my mind! One day soon I will get details about the recipient and maybe one day we can meet each other.
@mattporta11@Lindsbazillion@jeremyjudkins_ Please can I reframe this for you.
I hope you never experience this, but imagine you're in car accident. You're mostly okay but the crash damaged your kidney beyond repair. In that situation do you expect to be given another chance, or do you expect to be doomed? Easy choice?
@adambloomie2 Hi Adam,
I hope you're doing well.
Please may I ask what happened to the Twisting Fate performance video on YouTube? I can no longer find a video of it anywhere online. I'm aware it was a long time ago, but it was a favourite of mine.
@JonathanQuinn01 Good Evening. I just saw the PUCmug. What a great idea. It looks ideal for my needs (which are domestic and small). It looks like you aren't selling them anymore, but I wondered if you had any left knocking about? Many thanks.
@bleeckerburger I would like to pass on highest commendations for Abdulatif at Westfield. He just cooked me a pair of literally perfect burgers.
Blissful, delicious, picture perfect.
Thank you. And THANKS to Abdulatif.
@TheOnlyChapman Have you thought of trying HermitCraft? There are creators on it with fewer subs than you, and it's a great way to boost your sub count. Your amazing personality would shine on it.
@M5Stack I'm a big fan ❤️
I have a number of StickC+ with issues. They suddenly overheated and now don't work but get very hot when connected to USB. I believe the chip labelled M5A1 has failed.
Is this something that you've heard of?
Is the chip a replaceable part?
Many thanks.
