@2KIntel Contests could use a slight buff. Open shots are cool but if I have 87 defense and silver challenger and can’t get a contest off when people don’t have legend badges yet something is off.

@TwinJokic Don’t think so Twin, they also said green or miss in comp modes which would signify making whites is back which points to not pure green. These are assumptions based on vocabulary but it looks bad.

@spillboy_ Depends on wingspan but you can have success with both 84 and 88, wouldn’t go with less and don’t see the point of going higher

@Joey2KYT I think Pro Am content has always been a little boring to the general masses. The play style necessary to win games consistently in that mode against other sweats isn’t kind on the eyes. For that reason I feel Rec has been the best content producing mode since it came out.

While yes the APEX is aesthetically not the most interesting or pleasing venue it still allows us to get cheap and easy cards which without the APEX we’d definitely have less fight cards a year. It isn’t ideal but real fight fans love the APEX IMO

@b1s Hypothesis: it doesn’t improve contest percentage but if you get any level of contest on someone it reduces their green window by a badge specific percentage. Won’t reflect on the HUD but makes a difference. Either that or it’s fucking useless idk

OK so this brings into question the following things: 1) IF challenger did change contest coverage would that lead to a ghost contest problem? 2) this must mean challenger increases the strength of the contest. Is that good enough? 3) what does this mean for the “sweet spot” for perimeter defense rating?

@_oFAB The dribbling for anyone above 6’4 is TERRIBLE for the most part. Dribbling and dribble styles need a major buff. Paint defense also still needs to be looked at and they need to explain to us what the actual logic for it is.

What does nba 2k25 have to do better?

@UnrealCombos03 @NBA2KLab Fair point but if an 83 that would already give you most shooting badges on silver doesn’t come with it I doubt it’s in there. Could be worth checking for though

@UnrealCombos03 @NBA2KLab Because there’s no pure green for 3s (they themselves said this) so it makes more sense to test lower and then we can infer that a higher rating would mean a higher percentage. Basically it’s just to give a baseline of the usability of this typically usable rating.

@JABridgeforth Honestly felt this start in 18. 17 had the last really hype park where almost every court had the got next filled up. Although I love both modes I do think rec and theater were inevitably the downfall of park. It gave casuals somewhere else to hoop and with nba rules in the rec
