It looks like sadness descended on the Sierra Leone Bar Association yesterday in Kenema in an election presided over by @FrancisKaifala, the Anti-corruption Sierra Leone Commissioner. Our learned friends couldn't raise the Bar, it's been lowered and will be difficult to reclaim. We have a Constitutional Review process we are all looking forward to and those who should serve as our moral guarantors to legal issues can't conduct a proper election or interpret their laws. Hope you saw the wedding video yesterday evening between the Bar and the State. It's been captured. At the SLPP NEC meeting today, the Party encouraged the gov't to continue implementing the Agreement for National Unity. It also launched committees for review of elections and the Party’s constitution, plus more resolutions. I'm happy to be on the latter. One Country One People.

It would be helpful for leadership to announce how it will discipline the military and state personnel whose negligence led to the national security breach of Nov 26. Lots of people didn't do their job to prevent the attacks and to protect the prison. Name them. Discipline them. I've never heard of a press release rounding up prisoners, protecting the state. Leadership must lead and not pass on the state’s responsibility to civilians.
