BREAKING: Utah Prop 4 repeal will not make it on the 2026 ballot. Signature removal requests processed on Wednesday brought SD15 nearly 260 names below the threshold. The petition now has enough signatures in only 25 of 29 state Senate districts and no longer qualifies for the ballot. Signature removals will continue until April 23. Utah GOP chair Rob Axson told me: "We have significant concerns about the practices utilized by the opposition and continue to review the signature validation and removal process." Gerrymandering is cheating, no matter who does it. It’s also quite unpopular. I’m glad that Prop 4 is the law of the land here in Utah and that it will remain that way.
