@agraybee You can 100% be a moral atheist in the same way you can drive a car without knowing where it came from or how it works. But the morals do come from somewhere and you can't 'reason' your way into them from 1st principles (Kant, Hume, Kierkegaard all tried and failed).

The difficulty typically comes from non-analytic or research papers where a stronger background is needed.
