I think the movie is just a studio project and Cregger has to make it before they allow him to do one of his own projects.
And maybe the idea is to fuck up the adaptation out of spite.

@hazardman89 Just so you know, Capcom wants to keep the games and movies continuities separate. So believe it or not, there may never be a faithful adaptation of the games in movies. And it gives movie creators a chance to do weird and wonderful things with the RE ip.

Out of ammo and zombies? Yes that makes it Resident Evil. I also saw the color blueish in the trailer. Resident Evil confirmed. RE has blueish in the games in certain spots. I also saw a human man in the trailer. Human man also appears in Resident Evil. Clever references.

Everyone that wants it I see how they play and they always literally always running at the wall. I loved re1, re2 and re3 but it’s best to not to. But as an option yeah why not.

Especially with it’s greater emphasis on accuracy and the enemies being faster, stronger, tankier, and more aggressive than its og counterpart
