Both Call of Duty Ghosts and Infinite Warfare were heavily maligned at the time, partly due to bad timing but also journos and Youtubers alike calling them crap or "problematic," even though they were good.
If anything, it contributed to the abysmal direction COD took later on.

Never liked Banksy that much. He epitomizes "safe edgy" with how he peddles "provocative" content so long as it's in vogue with chattering classes.
Case in point: his "controversial" Simpsons couch gag back when it was still trendy to criticize Mainland China openly.

@hazardman89 Just so you know, Capcom wants to keep the games and movies continuities separate. So believe it or not, there may never be a faithful adaptation of the games in movies. And it gives movie creators a chance to do weird and wonderful things with the RE ip.
