Dear @marklevinshow, There was a time when many conservatives viewed you as one of the strongest voices defending constitutional principles, limited government, and individual liberty. You built a loyal audience because people believed you were willing to challenge both Democrats and Republicans when they strayed from those values. That's why watching your evolution over the past several years has been so disappointing. Many of us who once listened to you regularly no longer recognize the man we admired. Instead of questioning endless foreign entanglements and the Washington establishment, you often sound like one of its most passionate defenders. Rather than engaging legitimate disagreements within the conservative movement, you frequently dismiss, ridicule, or attack those who simply hold a different view. The America First movement didn't emerge because conservatives abandoned their principles. It emerged because millions of Americans grew tired of policies that put foreign interests, endless wars, and political insiders ahead of ordinary citizens. You don't have to agree with that movement. But when every disagreement becomes a moral failing and every critic becomes an enemy, it raises an important question: when was the last time you honestly examined your own assumptions? Self-reflection is not weakness. It's something every serious thinker should be willing to do. Many of us still respect the role you once played in the conservative movement. But respect for your past accomplishments doesn't require agreement with your current positions. Perhaps it's time to spend less energy attacking fellow conservatives and more time asking why so many of the people who once admired you no longer do. Respectfully, A Former Admirer
