The @Prevedel_Lab is changing the way we image our favorite organism, enabling us to capture a freely moving animal at single-cell resolution. Can’t wait to see where this new OPM will take us! @embl

We’ve joined the #OPM community! Our latest preprint describes an open-top, dual-objective OPM optimized for ‘mesoscopic’ FOVs >1.5mm that’s capable of imaging behaving Nematostella with cellular resolution. Great collaboration with @AissamIkmi @embl biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

🎶🔥TOMORROW!!!❤️‍🔥🎉 The first conference of its kind, an experiment, an attempt to change how meetings look like, your chance to hang with other scientists in a friendly atmosphere on the beach - it’s good for your H (happy) index!

How about this as a format for a scientific meeting (I am very serious): The scientists meet on the beach or anywhere pretty, there're no presentations, but the organizers make sure everybody talk with everybody. That's the conference. Cheap and easy to organize, just set a date.

@airindiain I have been trying for a year almost to get back my money that was charged twice because of website malfunction. Do I still wait to get it back? A simple YES or NO will really help a lot.

The birthday paradox is very famous in probability. If you take 23 people, there's about a 50/50 chance that two of them share a birthday. With 50 people, it's a 97% chance. We could make many other fun examples to illustrate the same counterintuitive phenomenon (thread).
