We’re the poorest on my street in Surulere but when you see me outside, you’ll think I am Adenuga’s daughter — Actress Damilola Adegbite Nollywood actress Damilola Adegbite has opened up about her humble beginnings in Surulere, Lagos, revealing that despite growing up in poverty, she carried herself with confidence from a young age. “We’re the poorest family on my street in Surulere,” she said, “but if you saw me stepping out of our house, you would never have guessed my background unless I told you.” She explained that her poise developed early from watching films with her father, especially James Bond movies. “From a very young age, I carried myself differently… I would study how the characters spoke, sat, and walked. I practiced their confidence without even realizing it.” Adegbite also recalled experimenting with her mother’s clothes and makeup. “Sometimes I would sneak into my mother’s room… practicing elegance and poise. Even then, I was rehearsing the woman I wanted to become.” Her confidence later paid off at an MNet Africa audition. “I was the last person chosen out of more than 10,000 women… What surprised me most was that I was selected because of just one word I pronounced correctly… That moment changed everything.” On growth, she said, “Becoming who you dream of being is not a straight journey… Sometimes, you even have to be selfish… When you protect your space and your peace, people may call you rude… but often you are simply protecting yourself.” She advised others to reflect on their strengths: “For me, it’s my courage and presence… Take time to identify what has always worked for you.”

When I was an infant my Dad, Ademola Adesina played for Nigeria green eagles and also was the sporting director at my school. I grew up loving sports, and somehow, Lisbon always felt like home to me. From then on, it was clear I was born to be a Sporting CP fan. Vamossss💚

@instablog9ja Marriage that will work takes work. You can’t be rigid, unromantic and expect your wife to feel the same way about you. If you don’t put in the work attraction will definitely fade away.

Your Wife Will Not ‘Wow’ You Like Before After 20 Years of Marriage — Journalist Morayo Brown’s Husband, Afolabi-Brown Media personality Morayo Brown and her husband Femi Afolabi-Brown are getting people talking after sharing brutally honest takes on love, intimacy, and how marriage evolves over time. Speaking on their podcast, The Brown’s Couch, Morayo pointed out how romance often fades after marriage. She noted that while dating comes with gifts, sweet messages, and effort, things can change once couples tie the knot. “It’s like they just expect you to lie down and be available,” she said, highlighting a common frustration among married women. Her husband, Femi, didn’t hold back either. According to him, the intensity and passion seen in the early stages of marriage naturally decline with time. “The way you feel in your first year is different from 10 years, and different again after 20 years,” he explained, urging couples to be realistic instead of chasing unrealistic expectations. He added that the excitement men show at the beginning, where they would go to extreme lengths to please their partner, doesn’t last forever. “That passion dies gradually,” he said. “After five years, you relax.” Femi also pointed out that a man’s past experiences can shape how he approaches marriage, noting that someone with multiple partners before marriage may behave differently from someone with little experience. Driving his point home, he stated bluntly that after many years together, the same level of s+x¥al energy and excitement simply cannot be maintained. “15 to 20 years into marriage, your wife cannot be ‘shaking’ you the same way she used to,” he said.

@Allen_United7 @doll_lenses @onyekanwelue Why do you hate the poor? You hate them yet you want them to like you? Entitlement is the disease of the rich in Nigeria. They want the poor to serve them, respect them, lick their asses and worship their wives and children.

@v_vivilife @onyekanwelue What did you expect from him? Romance the wealthy oppressors? VDM has never extended bitterness to any poor person like himself. Until the so called elite and "wealthy Nigerians" understand the real battle is between the poor and rich, there will be no hiding peace for y'all.

These are the stupid things he says that impresses his Obidients, none of them is asking him when primary healthcare became a federal government’s responsibility, how many did he even build as governor for 8years? Did all communities in Anambra have that facility before he left?

There’s this wealthy man in our community. One day, he went to Delta State for a business meeting. On his way back, he received a call about another meeting, so he called his wife and told her he would return the next day. He stopped and checked into a nearby hotel to lodge for the night. Around 7:30 p.m., he stepped out of his room and saw someone who looked like his wife on the stairway. At first, he thought it couldn’t be her—it was a Friday, and she usually attends a vigil every Friday night. But on taking a second look, he realized it was indeed his wife, stepping out of the hotel with another man. He waited for about 30 minutes, then called her and asked where she was. She told him she was in church. The husband then mentioned the name of the hotel where he had seen her. She immediately ended the call. The greatest shock came when he finally got home—his wife had packed her belongings and moved out. She went to live with their pastor. It has been two years, and she is still there to this day.

After graduating from university, I became friends with the daughter of a sitting commissioner in Imo State at that time. She was financially okay, and often initiated private/group hangouts, and the majority of our hangouts were at night. At some point, I started assuming she was interested in me. Until one day when we were out with a couple of friends, I overheard her telling her girlfriend over the phone that her bodyguard was around, that she could come over. I didn't need anyone to tell me who she was referring to as her bodyguard. From that day, I started distancing myself.

Just imagine if Seyi Tinubu were Oseloka Obi and Oseloka Obi were Seyi Tinubu. That one switch alone might have been enough to stop🛑 Tinubu’s presidency in its tracks. But because he is the son of a political demigod, it suddenly becomes acceptable. Same reality, Same individuals, Different reactions. Maybe the issue isn’t what is done but who is doing it. Think about that..
