This is typical of pop Roman Catholic apologists and their failure to understand Scripture. There are no holy sites or relics in the New Testament because the New Covenant fundamentally changes the location and nature of God’s presence and worship.

This is an uncomfortable topic, but Scripture does say that God doesn’t hear the prayers of those who are in mortal sin (if they haven’t repented) We know that God does not listen to sinners… (Jn 9:31) If I have looked at iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me (Ps 65:18) …your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear (Is 59:2) Whoever turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination (Prov 28:9)

Imagine walking where Jesus walked and thinking, "Meh. This is superstitious." This is basically like saying "meh" to Jesus' physical body and the creation of the physical world, as if Jesus might as well have saved us through a private dream rather than the Incarnation.
Sola Scriptura@SolaScriptura60

@dragodimitrov More superstitious nonsense. There are no “holy sites” in Christianity.

@_ProCy_ If you don’t know the difference between a sin unto death on the one had and a mortal sin in Roman Catholic theology on the other hand, try asking Grok.

@nanbyz Nobody cares what you think about Martin Luther. The Roman Catholic Church is the Whore of Babylon. See how fun this game can be?

@SolaScriptura60 Martin Luther is the author of heresy. Neither being a theologian nor historian is a requirement of being Catholic. Divinely inspired, written by Catholics.

I'm not a Catholic (I'm an Orthodox Christian), but I think any Evangelical who criticizes the Catholic Church should self-identify what Evangelical church they attend. And "non-denominational" isn't answering the question.

I'd like to know what Evangelicals have to say about this. The Holy Sepulchre is the holiest site in Christianity and contains where Jesus was crucified, where he was buried, and where he was resurrected.
Disclose.tv@disclosetv

NEW - Israeli police blocked Cardinal Pizzaballa, Head of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land, from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to celebrate Palm Sunday Mass, the first time in centuries that the heads of the Church were barred from celebrating Palm Sunday Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

The Incarnation (Jn 1:14) shows God sanctifying matter itself—Jesus' body, not a dream or spirit alone, redeems us. This pattern continues: grace flows through physical means in Scripture. Examples: - Touch heals (Mt 8:3, Mk 5:27-29). - Mud + saliva restores sight (Jn 9:6-7). - Peter's shadow (Acts 5:15), Paul's handkerchiefs (Acts 19:12). - Water in baptism regenerates (1 Pt 3:21, Acts 2:38). - Bread/wine as body/blood (Mt 26:26, Jn 6:53-56). Physical creation, assumed by Christ, becomes a channel for His life—not magic, but biblical reality.

@nanbyz If you knew any theology, you'd know God, not your denomination, is the author of Scripture. If you knew any history, you'd know RCs debated which books made up Scripture for over 1,000 years. (And Luther and his debate opponent Cardinal Cajetan rejected the same 7 books.)

@nanbyz The entire Catholic Church is unbiblical. And for the ignorant, Sola Scriptura is nothing more than a rejection of the blasphemous claims of Rome to human infallibility.

@nanbyz On the contrary, the Roman Catholic Church and its blasphemous papal antichrist are literally a false man-made heretical system that despises God's word and violates Proverbs 30:6.

Appealing to the Old Testament to justify what the New Testament deliberately leaves behind is therefore a category mistake and a confusion of the two covenants.

In short: The OT pointed to a coming Redeemer and a coming spiritual reality. The NT announces that the Redeemer has come and that reality is here. Holy sites and relics were part of the preparatory shadow; the NT gives us the substance—Christ Himself and the indwelling Spirit.
