@trulyyblu They actually do this "Deal" at the end of of every season in the final month, it used to be a way to boost interest before the next update.

Movies and some ovas where produced before this if they where made with cinemas in mind

@KojiKabutops @NabanEditions We have a similar issue here with the Raymond Briggs animations. All of them where mastered for 4:3 VHS but the DVD releases where forced 16:9.
It was a bad issue with early conversion to Disks.

So the long Saga Finally Ends, I enjoyed it while it lasted, but it was most certainly time to conclude.

I still buy from ebay occasionally, but have to have actual images of what I'm buying, no stock photography

Okay, so I decided to check out another show in my collection--TORADORA.
I bought Vol. 1 and 2 from the late, great Right Stuf (DVD & Blu-Ray) for around 80 bucks on July 11, 2017.
Fast Forward to the modern day...$563.82 for VOL. 2, Blu-Ray ONLY. No sign of Vol. 1. YIKES.

Okay, somebody on Reddit pointed out that Eureka Seven Complete Collection is out of print...and prices for the Blu-Rays are SKY-FREAKING-HIGH so I had to see for myself. I bought my copy July 11th 2023 for $18 after taxes... NOW? It's $500 after taxes. A 2843% price increase!
