Teenager “martyred” (sent to meaningless death) under the banners of HTS But he sent a cute letter to his “brothers in Palestine” so that’s ok Who is worse his amir for his treachery or the foolish follower?
anon@AyKarT0

Martyr Abu al-Bara Shhayl was born in 2007 and was part of Red Bands (Elite unit of HTS). He wrote his wasiyah, addressed to his brothers in Palestine, in which he offered dua for them and urged them to remain patient and steadfast. He was martyred in Suwayda fighting against

Today’s “Muslims”: It is ok to host the largest US base in the Middle East, which is regularly used to fight Muslims if it gives you “something concrete ; mediator status, a seat brokering Gaza ceasefires and Taliban negotiations” Saar real politik
ًً@kelevitch

What exactly did you want him to do? Syria has no air force to speak of, an economy in ruins, no military capable of contesting Israel on anything, and a government that is maybe 18 months old trying to hold a fractured state together after 13 years of civil war. What exactly was the alternative “strong” response supposed to accomplish? This is the pattern I keep seeing not just on Syria, on Qatar, on every “Muslim”and Levant state that engages with Washington rather than performing defiance. People are grading these governments against a standard that assumes a state can just… unilaterally resist the world’s dominant military power, and that anything short of that is spiritual or moral failure. That standard doesn’t come from anywhere real. It’s an anachronism a leftover expectation from an imagined Ummah-as-single-polity that hasn’t existed since 1924, projected onto a nation-state system none of these countries designed or chose. Every state alive today, Muslim or not, operates inside that system. There’s no opt-out menu. Part that bothers me is the loudest version of this critique almost always comes from people who bear zero cost if their preferred “strong” response were followed. (Check the guy’s location) Diaspora Twitter, safe in Paris or London, demanding maximalist defiance from a government that would absorb 100% of the consequences of taking that advice. When Syria were burning all of you were in your comfy homes tweeting about it It’s the easiest thing in the world to be uncompromising about someone else’s war. Compare Syria’s silence to Qatar, which people also call a Washington puppet for hosting Al Udeid. Except Qatar’s engagement bought it something concrete ; mediator status, a seat brokering Gaza ceasefires and Taliban negotiations no state its size should have. Which is necessary leverage in this nation state system purchased and then spent. Syria right now has none of that leverage to spend.. A government trying to survive its first two years doesn’t pick fights it has zero capacity to back up.. That’s reading the actual balance of power correctly which is the first job of any state, before any performance of dignity. If there’s a real critique to make of any of these governments, it’s not “why didn’t you say no to the disbelievers.” It’s “what are you doing with whatever leverage you do have, and who does it actually serve.” That’s a harder, more honest question

#BurkinaFaso A video allegedly showing JNIM militants carrying Sadou's body. In the later part of the video (which I cut), his face is also visible. Since he was shot in the head, the image isn't clear, but it does resemble him. Also claimed that he was assassinated in a border area between Burkina Faso and Niger.

Parcours incroyable !
Jamīl Al-Sūrī@LevantJourno

For history: 1. Al-Sharaa was a former member of Islamic State in Iraq, sent to Syria by Al-Baghdadi 2. Jabhat al-Nusra was created and funded by IS 3. Al-Sharaa only pledged allegiance to Al-Qaidah to break free AFTER al-Baghdadi announced JN was a part of ISI. #SyrianArchives

@FikrAlJabarti @Vertaris21 @WDLD0712 This is cope The current Syrian “freedom of religion” is identical to the definition under Bashar And they would never risk changing it anytime soon as to not upset their western patrons

The Question 🇸🇴 🇸🇩 🇵🇸 🇸🇾 🍁
@Vertaris21 @WDLD0712 It's restricted, even in many other Muslim countries it's criminalized for one to prosletyze or convert to a religion outside Islam. Freedom of religion in such contexts basically means the minority religious communities are allowed to practice their religion.

Very interesting. Nigerian soldiers repelled an ISWAP attack in Cross Kauwa and recovered a Sony camcorder. In the latest recording before the failed attack we can see 3 Arab fighters. Probably foreigners rather than Shuwa Arabs.

Troops Repel ISWAP Attack on Cross Kauwa, Recover Camcorder Linked to Foreign Terror Facilitators By Zagazola Makama Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have repelled a coordinated infiltration attempt by suspected ISWAP terrorists on Cross Kauwa in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, inflicting heavy casualties on the attackers and recovering a camcorder containing intelligence materials linking the operation to foreign terrorist facilitators. Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred at about 10:20 p.m. on Friday, July 11, when scores of terrorists attempted to infiltrate the military position under the cover of darkness. The sources said troops of the 19 Brigade, Sector 3, detected the advancing insurgents early and responded with coordinated firepower, forcing the terrorists to abandon the assault and retreat after suffering significant losses. According to the sources, the terrorists had intended to loot cholera-related medical supplies from the community, a development believed to support recent intelligence indicating a cholera outbreak within ISWAP camps around the Lake Chad region. The sources added that the attempted raid also aligns with previous intelligence reports suggesting that some infected fighters had allegedly been executed by the group in an effort to contain the outbreak. During exploitation of the battlefield, troops recovered a Sony camcorder, several rounds of PKT and 7.62mm Special ammunition, terrorist uniforms and other combat items. Military intelligence officers who conducted a preliminary forensic examination of the recovered camera reportedly found operational videos and propaganda materials. The latest recording before the failed attack allegedly showed that the operation was coordinated by four senior ISWAP commanders alongside three foreign terrorist facilitators. The foreign nationals were identified as a Palestinian Arab known as Abu Ishaq, believed to be the group’s chief trainer; a Moroccan identified as Abu Thaiba, reportedly serving as a medical doctor within the terrorist network; and another unidentified Arab operative whose identity is still being investigated.

Yes the ups & downs between J.A.I & JN/HTS were insane From Zahran calling Sharaa "al-Fatih" to disliking him, then war & blood post 2015/16 especially after Zahran's martyrdom then a complete reversal in the end.

@9sellou3 pas une fusion des deux. Puis le soutien occidental est léger, c'est quasiment que de la levée de sanctions et des investissements limités ; le gros, ce sont les États de la région.

On Telegram, French jihadists in Syria are reacting with alarm. One channel writes: “For six years, every time French journalists or politicians met Syrian officials, the repercussions landed directly on us.”

8/ Also on the table, unavoidably: the fate of the last French jihadists still in Idlib’s pockets, a dossier Paris has never resolved, and the chemical weapons file, where France itself issued arrest warrants against Assad while OPCW just uncovered a major undeclared arsenal.
