Today is the day of #MatchWeek2020 where medical students find out if they matched. If they actually get to do what they have dreamed of doing. For many US med students, this is more of a formality, and Friday is the “big day”. But that’s not always true.

I am excited to share the lab's first preprint! We show that a lung cancer cell still remembers what its cell of origin, the AT2 cell, was supposed to do upon loss of KRAS activity - make alveolar epithelium. Mechanism seems to be conserved in patients. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

My personal statement runs 1.3 pages in ERAS. Formal character count limit is 28k, mine is 4.4k. I know the unofficial rule is no longer than 1 page. Am I allowed a little leeway since I'm 37 and took 6 years in med school?

We applaud today’s @US_FDA decision to approve over-the-counter birth control pills. Making them available over-the-counter will help reduce barriers and provide adolescents with another option for accessing contraception.
