Hey! My main focus is #SEGA & #SonicTheHedegehog here but I appreciate Nintendo, Xbox and Playstation too. I'd love to make more e-homies that love all aspects of gaming, from retro, modern, indie and the obscure! I sometimes share personal slice of life stuff and stream!

Sonic's visual identity is both realism & fantastical, it's just how his world operates. Both coexist without any rhyme or reason. It's chaotic in nature, but makes the world interesting.

@WhyATater I was the same way. I thought it was so cool as if it was "hand drawn" but yeah no. I love them sharp pixels and will never go back to smoothing!

@SonicEchoes Man I used to LOVE pixel smoothing when I was younger and playing games on emulators I never got a chance to try before...then I wised up and embraced the pixel.

@SonicEchoes How I see it is that filters are completely valid for retro gaming since they work like a television display (not joking, I’d need a whole document to explain it), but DLSS works like those “artists” that are always like “i FiXeD uR aRt 4 u” and just strip th artist’s identity

@Joey_da_bean Yeah the more I understand DLSS the more I see pixel smoothing filters as a much more dignified and respectful filter to the original art. That's crazy!

@SonicEchoes I’ll be Frank, there is a bit of a difference that makes DLSS objectively worse than just a filter. DLSS completely replaces the models and actual art in the game files, meaning that everything the artists made for the game is completely discarded.

@RetroGamingDev It kinda is haha it lacks online features on Xbox but it was fun to play. Its kinda relaxing once you get the flow!
