How much room for interpretation is there for Sonic's character?
Is his character set in stone and it's blasphemy to reinterpret him in any capacity, or is there any room for any writer to make their own bold choices for the character?

Despite how little he actually appears, I do think Dark Sonic is important to the lore because it answers a pretty big plot hole left by SA2: If Tails can create fake emeralds, why can't he just create a set of 7 and allow Sonic to go super whenever he wants?

Also if multiplayer trophies are part of the platinum requirement, could they be rewarded or taken away if a game shuts down?
