And that as a consequence, there may well be serious ramifications for the network: “The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is considering taking enforcement action against the Kiis network, which broadcasts the Kyle & Jackie O Show, for repeatedly airing vulgar and sexually explicit content despite multiple warnings. Enforcement actions can include additional licence conditions, court-enforceable undertakings and, in rare cases, suspension or cancellation of a broadcaster’s licence for breaches of the commercial broadcaster codes.” theguardian.com/media/2025/oct… But to be honest, there’s also a helluva lot to deplore. First, if we take history to be any guide, ACMA will do little or nothing permanent to curb Kyle’s (and Jackie’s) contemptible and cruel content. Sure, they may issue fines and/or other punishments (even heavy ones), but those will do little to prevent what we witches are still strongly opposed to. That is: even if ACMA force ARN Media to stop Kyle (and Jackie) from the depths of filth they got up to in 2024 (such as their pissing duels, musing on competitions where women had the penises of different men put inside them and had to guess which was which, or discussions of the serious crime of voyeurism potentially committed by a staff member towards her neighbour live on air), the relentless, demeaning content will remain, and ACMA will do NOTHING ABOUT IT. To be even more clear: while it’s obvious to all of us Kyle and Jackie have “toned down” the content in recent months because advertiser withdrawals are catastrophic and they’re trying to stem the tsunami of revenue collapse, Kyle has certainly NOT abandoned his gross and unforgivable misogyny, racism and homophobia/transphobia, nor his attacks on the disabled and his fat-shaming hypocrisy ONE FUCKING IOTA. The quote below is from a little while ago now but Kyle still makes comments like this EVERY FUCKING DAY and each time he harms women and others more, and he doesn’t care who knows it or hears it. His objectification of women, his refusal to stop calling them “that” and “it” and “toad” and “bitch” will never stop as long as he’s on air. So as ARN know but refuse to acknowledge or attend to, it is THIS we witches object to far more than the occasional truly disgusting segments such as pissing competitions because it’s far more dangerous long-term. They KNOW this content increases violence against women and those in minority groups and the unending disrespect displayed towards such groups by many Australians and which is both relished and stirred up by Kyle, yet they focus solely on the occasional truly terrible bits. So unless ACMA’s decision includes a PERMANENT BAN of Kyle and Jackie from broadcasting in future ANYWHERE EVER as a result of their repeated and unapologetic transgressions, anything ACMA does will still be a despicable violation of all Australians who aren’t pale stale and male and a travesty of a result by this toothless tiger which looks like it intends to do SOMETHING so they can congratulate themselves on doing it but we all know that something will almost certainly be inadequate and a total fucking joke. 1/2
