It has happened for decades. During my time in Palestine, I have seen with my own eyes violent settlers assaulting Palestinians, in Jerusalem as well as across the West Bank, under the watch (and even with the active participation) of the Israeli Occupation Forces. Michael O'Brien spent 11 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. The Govt then disgracefully charged him £37,000 for 'Bed & Board' for the time he served. The new Labour Govt have now confirmed they won't be reimbursing Mr O'Brien or others in his position.
