@rgajr13 I exposed the slush fund a couple years ago in a hearing (ironically while defending President Trump), and I have since voted to release the names of the members who have taken advantage of it.

I will be voting NO on final passage of the FISA 702 Reauthorization Bill if it does not include a warrant provision and other reforms to protect US citizens’ right to privacy. Yesterday I offered these 3 amendments to fix the program, but they were not allowed last night.

As I walked past the Capitol this morning, I couldn’t help but notice the ironic presence of a garbage truck as two members resign in disgrace and shame.

@SouthernHopes There is no defeat here and the people that are super upset by this are just as much in a cult as those that love it.

If you are getting upset that DeSantis signed legislation to rename an airport over Trump, you have lost the plot. The bill would have gotten sent right back to him and he would have looked petty as hell. He signed it with no fan fair, which was smart. Pick your battles.

Looks like a volume worth having, especially as we approach America 250. The Founders were products of the Western tradition and they looked to its entire history — from the ancients to the Enlightenment and everything in-between — for inspiration and guidance in justifying the revolution and, later, when creating the Constitution.

@RTFireflyEsq Don't wanna face a kangaroo court? Simple. Don't get into adultery and don't pay hush money. Living with a shred of decency goes a long way.

@SouthernHopes @RonDeSantis What would the Founders have said about a politician's opponents deliberately changing the law so they can run him through a kangaroo court?

@BonkDaCarnivore He could've chosen to have the veto overridden. When it's lose-lose, lose with some dignity.

Yeah, all of you gnashing your teeth at Ron signing that bill renaming PBI to DJT need to cool your tits on that one. There's plenty to criticize Ron for, but signing a veto-proof majority isn't really one of them. One could say he should have pointed out how it's a complete waste of 5 million taxpayer dollars to do it, but at this point you have to keep your expectations of him at ankle level.
Alan Mosher (fka Grumpy Old Al)@ConservativaPol

A. He didn't name it after himself. The Florida legislature named it after him, and B. All 81 GOP members of the House voted for the bill, as did all 25 GOP Senators, meaning the bill was veto proof. DeSantis refusing to sign it would have done nothing but aggravate those legislators, who he will need to get the budget and property tax relief passed. Any problem anyone has with that should be with all of those legislators, not the Governor.

@BravoKiloActual @JillSAnthony DeSantis is obviously the best choice among those listed. He is an executive with actual courageous conservative accomplishments for our 3rd largest state..

I don’t get the DeSantis hate. A current Republican governor in a huge state with tons of executive experience and actually ACCOMPLISHING things republicans say they want… and he barely gets a blip compared to three other guys with a combined executive experience of zero.
