I would like to ask everyone to pray for Dr. Peter Stafford, the missionary physician who has been evacuated from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) after testing positive for the Ebola virus. Please also pray for his wife, Dr. Rebekah Stafford, and their four children. The Staffords now serve with Serge, but were part of our Samaritan’s Purse Post-Residency Program several years ago. I’m asking for prayers for my niece in the hospital with brain cancer. The dr who’s offering alternative treatments are coming tomorrow to check her over to determine if they will accept her and give us their insight.

Today I am anxious. I’m spending the day cleaning my house and preparing for the worst because tomorrow night I start my first cycle of 12 rounds of chemotherapy. Almost a year of chemo. I’ve never done this before. This definitely was not on my bingo card. So far, I’ve managed brain surgery and 33 sessions of radiation fairly well. But this part feels unknown, and the unknown can be scary if you let your mind run too far ahead.

For all my friends who follow my granddaughters career , unfortunately I have some bad news about Ella’s health . Today Ella has been diagnosed with a Cyst on her Brain which has been causing her health problems. We are now waiting for a Neurosurgeon appointment at Birmingham . We are all remaining positive for a good outcome. Thank you for all the support you have shown towards Ella 🙏🙏🙏 #ellaJ
