Bitcoin had a feature in 2009 so dangerous Satoshi himself deleted it after one user pointed it out In the original version of Bitcoin you could send coins directly to someone's IP address There was no wallet address needed and even worse, your computer would connect to theirs to send the coins through That meant anyone could see your IP, locate your machine and try to attack it just by sending you Bitcoin On January 14, 2009 Satoshi decided to test it himself and emailed an early miner named Dustin Trammell asking for his IP Trammell replied and actually sent it to him A few minutes later Satoshi connected and sent him 25 BTC with a message that said "Hello" Trammell answered him with a warning that the feature was insecure and within weeks Satoshi deleted it from Bitcoin entirely Those 25 BTC would be worth $1.86 million today

A few things I should’ve added earlier: A) I charged him $300 for my $1500 loan B) he’s selling these locally so hopefully no shipping costs (although we’re making exceptions for a few people who reached out after seeing my last post who want to support him which I truly appreciate) C) the rugs are in our barn so storage is free (luckily) D) the $35 average price I mentioned is worse case scenario- hoping the avg will be closer to $50+ E) I think/hope he’s going to want to take the profits from this first job and buy another set of rugs or something else to sell next and make more money F) I also think/hope his younger siblings learn via osmosis and/or become his employees G) I’ll update after a couple weeks with what he’s done so far! H) right now (New Year’s Day 2026) he’s organizing them, taking pictures, cataloguing, and making sure the rain doesn’t get on any of them (our barn’s roof isn’t very structurally sound haha) Let me know if you have any other questions!
