Maybe this is a hot take... but if you want to be a director I feel like you should at least write at least 4 or 5 screenplays to real understand the process. The folks that go all in on Photography and Editing really are dealing with an incomplete toolset.

AI will not replace artists, it will instead push artists to greater heights of innovation. Just like photography did not replace painters but pushed them to hyper realism and surrealism. And cinema did not replace the novel but encouraged interiority and postmodernism.
