@BowesChay They should have asked the Brits how that worked out in the North, before deployment! Nows the time for the people in the South have the same balls as those in the North to stand up for their rights!

A stream of US military planes + planes on contract to the US military have been gobbling up fuel at Shannon Airport since 28 February. Meanwhile, Ireland, an island, is facing 'systematic' shortages of the fuel we need, because of the war we're helping the US prosecute.

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee: • "In response to the aggression against Lebanon, maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz must be halted immediately, and a decisive strike carried out to stop Israeli attacks." • "The Lebanese have made sacrifices for us, and we must not leave them alone for a single moment. Either a ceasefire on all fronts, or no ceasefire at all."

🚨 Iran war rundown: Trump announces two-week ceasefire with talks set to begin; this is what you need to know President Trump agreed to a two-week ceasefire with Iran, hours before his deadline for Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face attacks on civilian infrastructure. Iran confirmed negotiations would start on Friday in Pakistan with the prime minister mediating. Trump said Iran presented a 10-point proposal as a “workable basis” for talks, with the expectation of a final agreement within the ceasefire window. Iran’s FM Abbas Araqchi stated Tehran would halt counter-attacks and allow safe passage through the strait. Iranian media called the deal a “humiliating retreat” for the US, while WH Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized that Trump and US military pressure secured the strait’s reopening. Markets reacted quickly: US stock futures rose, and crude oil prices dropped more than 17% to just over $92 a barrel. More to come.

This war was an American/Israeli fiasco. Iran is wounded but still standing and defiant. It has now a better negotiating positon than before the war. The U.S. was embarrassed and has a bleeding nose and a worse negotiating position than before the war. The Strait of Hormuz was open before the war. Now the U.S. is negotiating just to keep it open, while Iran has effectively turned it into a lever of control. Beyond that, none of the declared war aims have been achieved. No regime change. No end to the nuclear program. No elimination of ballistic capabilities. Only death and destruction in vain.

A U.S. Army pilot is missing in Iran tonight, and somewhere in the darkness, he’s alone, holding on, fighting to survive—please keep him in your prayers. 🇺🇸🙏 I don’t have to agree with every decision made, but I will never turn my back on those who wear the uniform. They carry fear, pressure, and sacrifice that most people will never understand. I will never stand with anything that mocks their struggle or turns their pain into propaganda.

The Europeans are not dealing with “a man.” They are dealing with the United States of America. The United States needed the most innocuous kind of cooperation from them. They denied the United States that cooperation. The implied argument is that their obligations within our alliance depend on whether they like the guy we chose as our president. “Sure, we’re allies…if we approve of who you elected.” Nope. We are not going to forget, and we’re not going to forgive. I’m indifferent to their excuses or their rationalizations. The United States of America needed their help and not very much help. They turned us down. That changes everything. And they aren’t going to like how it changes everything.
Gerard Baker@gerardtbaker

The casuistry here is remarkable. This is the simple reality: Like most Americans, most Europeans think this war is a bad idea.Their governments are being asked to take a huge risk by a man who has proved unreliable, volatile and intemperate over and over. Who would do that?

If it turns out to be true that Britain is denying the United States the ability to use British bases against Iran if there is a necessity for an attack - it would be beyond surprising.  I’ve been a military lawyer most of my adult life. What they’re saying about the status of Diego Garcia, the joint US-UK military base, is a huge question.  The bottom line is the largest state sponsor of terrorism on the planet is the weakest it’s been because the people of Iran have risen up by the millions to end their oppression and the United States and Israel have delivered crushing blows to the regime’s military infrastructure.  To my friends in Britain, sitting this one out puts you on the wrong side of history and is yet another example of how much our alliances throughout Europe have degraded.

Russia exported more than half of its LNG to Asia-Pacific countries for the first time last year. The Asia-Pacific region accounted for just over 16 million tonnes, or 52% of total LNG sales. Europe received 44% (13.6 million tonnes)

So, Neutral Ireland, will attempt to board "Russian smuggled oil" tankers in its territorial waters? Its an idiotic idea, Ireland currently has only 2 small patrol vessels actively operational at sea at any given time. It only has 700 men, and faces a chronic manpower crisis.

The British regime's propaganda machine is doing everything it can to run cover for the royals now. The queen bailed our Prince Andrew. Charles facilitated security for Epstein. The Saxe Coburg-Gotha brand is completely toxic and it could be over for them entirely.
