The fact is that even if Israel withdrew to the 1967 borders tomorrow Palestinians would still seek the destruction of Israel and openly say this.
I really wish Zionists would focus more on this point because it’s by far the most important and persuasive point in my experience.

What a dumb gotcha.
If one actually believed that the goal of the Palestinians was independence from Israel then you could at least make an argument that violence—or at least the implicit threat of violence—against IDF soldiers could be justified.

A reminder: @RoKhanna knows that these legal determinations cannot be sustained.
One can oppose the actions of the Israeli government without delving into complex legal determinations that have required to shift the legal standards to fit the predetermined conclusions of every single accuser of them.
Seriously, every single accusation has required shifting the jurisprudence.
See, @amnesty who said that the jurisprudence of the ICJ would preclude a finding of genocide: "However, its (ICJ) rulings on inferring intent can be read extremely narrowly, in a manner that would potentially preclude a state from having genocidal intent alongside one or more additional motives or goals in relation to the conduct of its military operations."

You just laid out the IDF’s official position.
Incidentally, in the footage released by the Israeli activist who guided Khanna, one of the civilians says the sentence (paraphrasing closely), “you know this is a closed zone. The police officer already told you that.”
It’s the only words uttered in the footage that the activists didn’t put translated subtitles to. It tells us what those civilians thought they were doing, and it seems significant that the translation isn’t there.
As you say, those civilians had no right to stop him and were mistaken about the area being restricted. The restrictions were lifted recently. But none of us knew that in real time, and it’s not clear to me that Khanna’s people knew that either.
And none of it changes the scale of Khanna’s embellishments, which fundamentally changed the story.
Khanna claimed there was real violence, that he was held unlawfully against his will, a kind of kidnapping. He called it an “unprecedented” act, an “outrage,” and demanded publicly that Netanyahu prosecute the civilians and soldiers.
