@brave @shiyoukupopu Ok I figured it out, I did clear twitch cookies/cache for twitch. Still didn't work, until I cleared Amazon cookies too. I'm back in now, ty

@shiyoukupopu @SpartaPee We're looking into this issue but yes, clearing cookies/cache may help. Making a new profile (under "More tools" in the main menu) can also resolve it.

@stvir_go @BrendanEich @TPnTexas @bee_fumo I still prefer the previous iOS keyboard/UI that Brave still uses. Feels snappier, less clunky than the new liquid glass keyboard/UI. Imo

@BrendanEich @TPnTexas @bee_fumo When should we expect an update to Brave on iOS with Liquid Glass and iOS 26 keyboard design? I wish it was as smooth as Safari on iOS...

@brave BetterTTV would be decent to have. I find that the others are either covered by yourselves already built into the browser or are available as an app, such as password managers.

Use @Brave Search instead We built our own index from scratch. We can’t leak your search data to Big Tech even if we wanted to. Goggles let you apply your own ranking filters instead of trusting centralized editorial decisions. You decide what gets prioritized, not us. search.brave.com

“DuckDuckGo doesn't operate its own search index. When you run a query, it gets proxied to Microsoft Bing.”
Sooraj@iAnonymous3000

DuckDuckGo doesn’t belong here DuckDuckGo doesn’t operate its own search index. When you run a query, it gets proxied to Microsoft Bing. DDG anonymizes the request, but the results, the ranking algorithms, and the underlying infrastructure belong to Microsoft. In May 2022, security researcher Zach Edwards discovered that DDG’s mobile browser selectively blocked trackers. Allowed Microsoft’s msclkid. @BrendanEich documented the technical details: Microsoft’s msclkid exists specifically to circumvent third-party cookie protections. DDG knew this. They blocked equivalent parameters from competitors but exempted their business partner. CEO Gabriel Weinberg confirmed the cause: their search syndication contract with Microsoft limited what they could block. The privacy product was architecturally compromised by a revenue agreement. DDG patched this in August 2022 after the backlash. But the episode revealed something important: when business obligations conflicted with privacy promises, business won until they got caught. In March 2022, Weinberg announced DDG would begin “down-ranking sites associated with Russian disinformation,” specifically naming RT and Sputnik. Whatever your position on that content, this marked a fundamental shift. DDG had marketed itself as “unbiased search” that didn’t filter results based on editorial judgment. The company makes centralized decisions about what information users should see. That’s their right as a private platform, but it’s a different product than what was advertised.

Spotify is raising individual pricing to $12.99 For $1 more you get YouTube premium. Ad-free Music plus Ad-free videos for just a dollar more By far the best value in a subscription

@nandicoborges @zacbowden Manifest v2. (You can’t run a real adblock in Chrome anymore but you still can on some chromium browsers like edge, opera, brave, etc.) I use mostly firefox but the best browsing experience is probably one of those forks with ublock origin installed.

@ss_siam_07 @Cartidise Although that’s an annoying thing to happen, I would definitely advise the use of a PW manager instead of saving passwords into the browser

@Cartidise Yes, I’ve been a loyal supporter of ms edge for years always, defending it over Chrome. But lately, i feel completely let down. After the recent update, all my saved passwords vanished without warning. It’s frustrating and honestly feels like a betrayal from a browser I trusted.

@SpartaPee Ah, apologies for misunderstanding. I think the best way to do it with Brave for iOS would be to add one of the Brave widgets (we have one that shows eight favorites and one that shows sixteen) to your phone's home screen.

🆕 We're rolling out a redesigned new tab page! This new design better accommodates different window sizes and split view, while also resolving some display issues. You should get the new layout soon. You can also go to brave://flags/#brave-ntp-refresh-enabled to toggle it.

@brave Ty for reply. Sorry but I meant adding a website as an app, like you can on android. I believe Safari and Chrome you can do this, just wondered if it was possible with Brave. This is the image when visiting a website on Chrome as an example

@SpartaPee If you go to Setting -> New Tab Page and turn on "Favorites," it will show links to favorite sites at the top. While visiting a site, click "..." on bottom right, then "Show all," and then "Add to Favorites" if you want it in the favorites menu. Long-press a link to remove it.

@ProtonVPN Tbh Chrome is still fast, secure and not as RAM hungry as it once was. Plus, you can still use uBO. Edge is also underrated.
