In case your’e wondering, the UK-has: - no exo-atmospheric Anti-Ballistic Missile interceptor system - No layered missile defence architecture - No integrated national system protecting our cities or infrastructure. Our best system is the T45 Destroyer with the Astor/Viper. But it’s primarily a fleet protection asset. The fact is that we and Europe depend heavily on US detection, US interceptor missiles and platforms, and US command architecture. The harsh reality is that capabilities amongst European states, incl. the UK, are very limited and patchy indeed.

Thailand busts the mule farms feeding call center gangs Thai police raided 16 locations nationwide, arresting six people across two networks that supplied bank accounts and SIM cards to scam compounds across the border. One network recruited people to open accounts for 1,000 to 2,000 baht, collected the passbooks and ATM cards, then staged them near Aranyaprathet for smuggling into Cambodia. A former bank employee ran the operation. Current bank staff were reportedly helping open accounts and unlock banking apps. Over 50 million baht in assets seized, 280+ victim cases filed, and 1,200+ SIM cards traced to illegal use. Both networks were increasingly targeting kids and young people for the grunt work. Police say more mule farms are still active across the country.

The Khorramshahr-4 is likely the intermediate-range ballistic missile that Iran used in the attempted attack on Diego Garcia, which analysts had previously assessed may have a range of +4,000km, though it had only been proven at between 2,000-3,000km. Such an attack would suggest that the Khorramshahr-4, which can carry a cluster and other unconventional warheads, could be used by Iran to strike almost the entirety of Europe, possibly as far as France and the United Kingdom.

@TheCinesthetic Glover is excellent as Lando. Jack Black (sic) was a terrible Han Solo - not a single Harrison Ford mannerism. Movie itself not bad, could rewatch, unlike the abomination of sequels. Rogue One by far the best stand alone movie. Not even close.

Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) keeps getting dismissed over a thirty-second origin gag, while the rest of the film just moves. Train heist, Donald Glover locking into Lando & a crew dynamic that actually clicks. It never really got judged on what it is.

@Spigzy @Vintage77Ball Well I’d have Lothar Matheus ahead of all of them, best box to box mid I ever saw. But personally I’d find a way to fit Cruyff in because I prefer creative players, but obviously not in centre mid. Also Platini deserves a mention. Can’t fit them all in.

@Nithya_Shrii If you think AI will only replace white collar workers and manual labour is safe, you are not keeping up with robotics. Coupled with AI, these will be the first jobs to go. Anything that needs complex decision making across multiple disciplines will be last.
