@mburnsmath 10 laying hens in my coop; 9/10 eggs are single yolks and 1/10 per day is double. How many of each kind of egg do I get in a week? (I'm working on developing math problems based on my life...) I'll be out measuring face cords and bush cords of firewood next. :)

Talked today about local edible plants. Could you make a salad from plants that don't grow in your garden? My salad today consisted of lamb's quarters/pig weed, wood sorrel, and some herbs that grew spontaneously from last year's plants. #eatlocal #wildedibles @StAndrewsRCCDSB

Celebrating #IndigenousHistoryMonth by exploring handwork with my Gr 5/6 students. Birchbark bowls were a great challenge. Ss also delved into shelter-building and marveled at Indigenous engineering/innovation and design. @StAndrewsRCCDSB @RCCDSB

Focusing on what some people call " #bushcraft " in my Gr 5-6 room this week. Students are honing their birchbark bowl making skills. Lots of discussion about the innovations and resourcefulness of Indigenous people of Canada. @StAndrewsRCCDSB @RCCDSB

@msjrea I heard the same from my students and my own kids. They are all in the routine now. So many transition through the year are also not good for their mental health.
