@SarahkateMurph3 “Back the gazebo” to Macrompians. The gazebo was built by Lady Ardilaun, aka as Olivia Guinness, who was the wife of Arthur Guinness, 1st Baron Ardilaun. The Guinness family owned the Castle estate in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. To us as kids her swim changing room!

A curious little oddity in Macroom, I think perhaps it was a bathhouse (a changing room for ladies taking a river dip from Lady Ardilaun’s time) but I’m open to correction! I love how it’s perched neatly on rocks. It could do with some TLC to secure it for generations to come.

So @EamonRyan is looking for people to cut down on car travel stating “We need to change. We need to reduce our demand for traffic, and we need to switch to more sustainable alternatives.” Yet @sdublincoco are happy to destroy these trees to make way for 300 car spaces! #capacity
