Ahh well 😃in less than 48 hrs we will leave this wonderful place. Nearly three weeks of fantastic views every day. Our Border Collies Flynn & Luna have had a fabulous time . We will return here in the future .Brandon Creek & Of course the “An Bothar” pub embedded in our minds

Morning all. Today is my 66th birthday and I am now an official OAP. Honestly never thought I'd see the day. Rest assured, other than my status in society's eyes, NOTHING will change 😂 Lil sis popping over later but other than that, I have no plans for the day. Just chilling 😃

Today our neighbor helped us plant the baby pecan tree that I have raised from a nut off my great aunt’s 97 year old tree. We bartered the use of our flat bed and a 100G aux diesel pump tank in exchange for him digging a hole or three for us too… 🥹 I actually picked up pecans from under the “mother tree” since I was a child, and up until the 2023 tornado destroyed it… Now hopefully (if it survives this “late”transplant) my little granddaughters might grow up eating exactly the same old heirloom pecans that their dad, their grandma, their great grandma and their great great aunt enjoyed! My mom and great aunt would be SO proud of this… (🤣 neighbor had to wind up shoveling for us, pop pop just can’t and I popped my neck trying to pitch shovels of dirt with ironstone in it… He’s absolutely the best neighbor ever!)
