Also, if Stroud had Mills stat line in those games u would say the defense carried him and he hold us back?
Jags first three quarters, bulls, and titans were just not good but defense carried.

@JacobBarzilla I love Darnold. If he were never on the Jets he's in a different conversation of players.
Guys like him are why I don't like giving up on young quarterbacks early

Even if i’m not the highest on C.J. Stroud I can’t see him go without seeing him with even decent run game or OL play and giving up on him.
If Houston were to move him (obviously not happening just for the hypothetical) they also waste this defense for another year bc they have a non top 20 QB starting for the entire season.
The last 2 SB winning QBs were Sam Darnold & Jalen Hurts, I don’t think it’s ridiculous for Stroud to be next if the run game is better.

ESPN writer Bill Barnwall said that teams around the league still believe C.J. Stroud is a very valuable QB assets but are glad that the contract extension isn’t their decision to make:
“I asked a handful of people around the league about Stroud and his potential trade value if the Texans choose not to sign him to a long-term contract and generally got two responses. One was an immediate response that he's still a really valuable quarterback. The other was a long pause and a sigh before something far less confident came out of the other person's mouth. "I'm glad it's not my problem" is what I heard from one team that already has its quarterback under contract.”
Barnwell still believes Stroud would be worth “2 first round picks & more.”

Trevor didn't have a good situation/ young struggles - bad results.
Stroud bad oline/ coordinator/ young struggles - bad results.
Both guys in good situation are good QBs.
