@ApatheticAddict @wil_da_beast630 @NWordBiden By that standard, the people living 3,000 years ago in what is now Nigeria were not black, but I don’t think you would be happy with a movie that takes place in such a setting and time having white characters.

Out of genuine curiosity - why does it piss people off to see a black/white/Arab woman playing a Greek...but not a literal Boston Irishman doing so?

@wil_da_beast630 @NWordBiden “Ancient Greek were aware of black people” is not the same as “ Ancient Greeks were black”. The point is that the Ancient Greeks were not Black or Asian. As a matter of fact, the Ancient Greeks were the first to make a cultural distinction between Asia and Europe.

@gresheff @CoreyWriting You have it backwards. They are claiming that the "occupied" have a right to self-defense and armed resistance. Palestinian armed resistance is a bad idea because they will get massacred, but the moral principle is reasonable.

@CoreyWriting They’re already making their next rhetorical move, claiming that the “occupier” has no right to self defense (nonsense) and so any response is a “war crime”. This completes mental reversal of cause and effect, good and bad. Those who ate it up so far will eat this too.Yes, insane

It's not surprising at all, but I'm happy that leftists are outright moving the Overton's Window and proclaiming they believe Oct. 7 was both good and justified. Now, we can stop pretending they do not support Jihadist terrorism. Moreover, it is quite insane to argue that Oct. 7 is justified as an act of war, but Israel responding is unjustified. Hamas has stated they would do Oct. 7 again and again. Leftists are now on the record of saying they believe repeating those attacks would be morally justified. Further, those killed on Oct. 7 were disproportionately those who lived in left-wing kibbutzes. They invited Palestinians into their homes, and in return those same Palestinians drew maps detailing their homes and helped Hamas locate hiding spots to kill more Jews. Leftists routinely now say that Sept. 11th was justified, so we cannot be surprised they are not trying to recast Oct. 7 as a "liberation" effort.
Drop Site@DropSiteNews

🎥 “Do you think Palestinians should just have to take it?” On The Majority Report, Jasper Nathaniel said liberal Zionists often condemn settler violence when carried out against defenseless Palestinians, but recoil at the idea that they might resist and defend themselves. Responding to Rep. Ro Khanna’s exchange with Jeremy Scahill, Nathaniel said even Democrats who are evolving on Palestine remain unwilling to place Palestinians “on the same level playing field as every other people in the world.” Vigeland added that Democrats’ professed support for a two-state solution rings hollow because genuine statehood would entail Palestinians having their own military and ability to defend themselves. @infinite_jaz | @EmmaVigeland

@ApatheticAddict @RichardHanania @TheDemocrats @kenmartin73 Jews are calling out the antisemitism and people are downplaying it. Leftists are not criticizing Israeli government or Bibi. They are antiZionist, Hamas supporters, 10/7 celebrants. Why do you think Jews are leaving. It’s not even a dog whistle anymore.

@TexansCommenter @KingAnderdingus @TFG_Football This only works if he accepts $45m APY. If he is truly worth 2 first round picks, why would he accept that deal. I think he is overvalued, but then again, I think most "elite" QBs are overvalued.

@RichardHanania @TheDemocrats @kenmartin73 rather embrace commies, antisemites, and anarchists over Liberals and Jews. The Left is full on antisemitic and Dems are not lifting a damn finger, with many embracing and stoking the flames. Dems abandoning on of their most loyal bases, and for what?

ESPN writer Bill Barnwall said that teams around the league still believe C.J. Stroud is a very valuable QB assets but are glad that the contract extension isn’t their decision to make: “I asked a handful of people around the league about Stroud and his potential trade value if the Texans choose not to sign him to a long-term contract and generally got two responses. One was an immediate response that he's still a really valuable quarterback. The other was a long pause and a sigh before something far less confident came out of the other person's mouth. "I'm glad it's not my problem" is what I heard from one team that already has its quarterback under contract.” Barnwell still believes Stroud would be worth “2 first round picks & more.”

@KevRedMurph @DKThomp The issues that cause the educational divide are cultural issues, not economic ones. The Left and DSA types just don't want to acknowledge that reality.

@DKThomp We need more analysis of this edu gap. Why do progressive pols resonate so much less with non-college voters? Also, as a society, I think we agree education is good. But this gap suggests it's in the interest of moderates/rights to, e.g., keep college unaffordable

Some polling numbers 1. Mamdani beat Cuomo by 24 points among college voters and lost non-college by 22; a 46 point education divide 2. El-Sayed leads by 7 among college in this poll, down 22 among non-college; 29 point divide 3. Platner led by 37 points among Maine college voters in NYT polling, but was down 23 to Collins among non-college; 60 point divide (*general election, not primary numbers) A lot of interpretive places to go with this. One is that—for now!—it seems the populist left revolution is creating a kind of leftwing party-within-the-party that might accentuate the benefits and costs of Democrats over-performance among college grads rather than fix it.

@wil_da_beast630 @FlowersAgainst Hiring based on IQ alone is not particularly meritocratic. IQ doesn't correlate all that well with job performance once you restrict the range of applicants using education. You need domain specific tests that test relevant skills and knowledge.

Libs: Women deserve equal treatment. Also libs: It's gross to ask female accusers follow-ups. Libs: BELIEVE WOMEN just means "give rape allegations a fair hearing." Also libs: It's gross to report evidence contrary to a rape allegation. (I thought we'd grown up, but no.)

@tom_swiss @mtracey @lyndseyfifield How about if there were no "victims"? The ease with which so many liberal men believe rape accusations without much supporting evidence is staggering to me. This performative "feminism" is pushing young men to the far right and that is terrifying.

The list would be too long to try to thank everyone who has stood with us through this nightmare. From friends dropping off dinner, caring for our children, sitting with us, and praying for our family as I relived the worst moments of my life—to people reaching out to share their own stories and friends offering full throated belief that never wavered. If there is one thing I hope other survivors take from my experience, it is this: PLEASE reach out to @CheyenneHuntCA and Reckoning Action instead of trying to navigate this alone. When everyone else had moved on, she and her team stood with us and helped us finally tell our stories. While this has been painful and humiliating, I am so relieved that my story has finally been told. I am proud of the life I have built, and I thank God every day for blessing me with such an incredible husband, family, and friends. I've learned that secrets are like a cancer that only fester in darkness. You can try your best, but you cannot truly live in freedom until you bring them into the light. And today, by the grace of God, I am free.

When I talk about wanting peace between Palestine and Israel, I get falsely accused of being a shill for Israel. When Jewish Americans like Rahm Emanuel talk about wanting peace between Palestine and Israel, it is more often seen as criticising Israel. The world is confused.

@SuperJewQueen @CoreyWriting Yes, but it was a poorer country and there was no social media. It was easier for the government to control the narrative. Israelis are wealthier now and will likely not be willing to be isolated in an effort to avoid negotiations for a 2-State solution.

If even Hillary Clinton is saying this, it shows how far the Democratic Party has shifted on Israel. Again, the Israelis dismissing Rahm Emanuel are going to be in for a shock in 2028.
Hillary Clinton@HillaryClinton

- Netanyahu's extremism is the biggest threat to U.S. support for Israel. Even those who support Israel can't defend his government’s recklessness. It's not too late to change course, but time is running out. You can read the full speech here: rahmemanuel.substack.com/p/the-us-israe…

@SuperJewQueen @CoreyWriting US aid is not the primary concern for Israel. Israel is a wealthy country. It is the lack of diplomatic support that should be the concern. It opens the door for massive Western sanctions in the coming decades. A wealthy Western style democracy cannot politically survive that.

Apparently a lot of men can't imagine why a woman wouldn't want to embark on a protracted and invasive he-said-she-said legal battle that is bound to lose and that will record the woman permanently in the news as a rape victim. It's just so impossible to imagine why a woman wouldn't want to do that!
