I have for decades encouraged foreigners to NOT invest in India. I have however encouraged men (not women) to visit. This is because a trip to India is the best education on degradation that humans are capable of accepting, and to learn about irrationality and amorality.

Arran Acib Ahmed was sentenced on aggravated assault charges to 2 years in prison for kicking the man in the head as he was on the ground. The man died from brain injuries just hours later. Arran Acib Ahmed was released from prison after serving 1 year and 4 months of his sentence. He now risks 20 years in Polish prison for robbery with a knife.

This is my family’s census record from 1926. Rural Galway. Irish speakers. Farmers living off the land. Making their own clothes, raising large families through hardships most of us today can barely imagine. My dad grew up in the same house in the 60s. 14 children in 3 bedrooms. Trout, rabbit and whatever else could be put on the table. I often wonder what they would think of the Ireland their descendants live in now, and how quickly so many are willing to give it away. Being Irish was once a people, a culture and a way of life. Not just citizenship.
