I hope and pray that Savannah Gutherie's mom is found and is brought home safe. But I also would like to live in a world where a kidnapped Child of Color received this level of media coverage or anywhere close to it. When does this type of thing finally change? It's 2026.

And that makes this even harder to watch unfold. But here’s the part everyone keeps pretending not to see: What kind of mom puts herself in the middle of a confrontation with ICE agents? What kind of mom chooses to jump into chaos where anything can go wrong? She should’ve thought about being a mom before she walked her tail outside to argue and tangle with federal agents. Nobody dragged her into that moment — she walked into it on her own. She put herself in danger. She escalated a situation with federal agents who were clearly there to arrest someone else. She wasn’t protecting her kids. She wasn’t thinking about her safety. And she absolutely wasn’t thinking about the consequences. People can spin it all they want, but at the end of the day: She made a choice — and that choice came with deadly consequences.

@RepJayapal You must’ve missed the bodycam video that showed her wife taunting agents, disregarding the commands of law enforcement, and deliberately hitting the agent with her 3000+ lb vehicle. Not a smart move.

What Americans saw happen in Minneapolis is stunning. An ICE agent killed an unarmed 37-year-old US citizen — Renee Nicole Good — for no reason. Then, Trump and Noem told us not to believe our own eyes. We’ll keep fighting against their lies and for justice and accountability.
