@_InTheFilth @Alex_Ortodoxie Man i love how he arrogantly states he authoritatively understands scripture when he is totally clueless. Good job Alex keep cooking these prideful prots.

English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin That’s exactly what you’re assuming rather than proving. Show me where Scripture says honoring or venerating a saint is identical to worship (latreia) owed to God alone. If all outward acts of reverence are worship, then Abraham worshipped the Hittites, Jacob worshipped Esau bow.
English

@SquarchT @OwenBenjamin Its the behavior surrounding the art thats is scripturally forbidden the Worship/veneration thay makes the art qualify as idolatry not the art itself.
English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin You’re assuming the very thing you’re trying to prove: that veneration = worship. Demonstrate that from Scripture instead of asserting it. The Ark wasn’t God either, yet reverence shown in relation to it wasn’t idolatry because the honor wasn’t directed to the object as a god.
English

No i haven't changed the argument the argument is about the behavior surounding the art the Veneration/worship of the saints in the images that makes it idolatry.
And the ark was a literal representation of god. Pointing out the difference between an item being commanded to be created to represent the throne of god (which again isnt even Christian its levant Judean) receiving worship is different then a painting of a saint who is not the father, doesn't change the argument it furthers it.
English

@whatatime85 @OwenBenjamin Literally said “bears im new here” meanwhile you join in on “how date you gifs” and then just be a waste of time deceiver. You are not engaging in good faith or with honesty
English

@SquarchT @OwenBenjamin lol I don’t think I was following him then. Do you know what satanic means. I am not
English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin Show me where Scripture teaches that every religious image not explicitly commanded by God is automatically idolatry. That’s the premise you still haven’t demonstrated.
English

Is that your take away from that? Because the difference is stated between the arc and the paintings doesn't concede your point it furthers the proof the paintings are idolatry because because they represent the saint and the ark is a literal representation of god on earth. The arc was commanded to be built he did bot command the paintings being painted and never said they were windows to heaven like the orthodoxy likes to claim
English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin So you just conceded my point. God commanded material objects associated with His worship that were treated with reverence, meaning the existence of sacred objects is not inherently idolatry Christ and the apostles constantly appealed to it as Scripture. Thats a whole new claim
English

So the arc itself was supposed to represent the spirit of God's presence he fell before out of the grief of their defeat, and this is old testament so any Christians claim on it doesn't really hold because this was written before the persian period when most of what became Christianity and islam was adopted from zoroastrism.
So in the judean beliefs that arc was literally gods throne on earth and doesn't qualify under idolatry because it was his literal presence to them
English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin Great job picking and choosing lol. Instead of cherry picking read the totality of scriptures

English

You asked me to pray for you to the creator?
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him
Don't ask me to pray for you, you pray for yourself in a closed room to just your father above
Thats jesus directly stating this BTW
English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin We expect nothing, but ask. Are you aware of the etymology of what pray means? Pray thee? Its merely a request. If i ask you to pray for me am I worshipping you? Thats all we do with saints is ask for their prayers
English

@SquarchT @OwenBenjamin The intention behind kissing her photo wouldn't be to gain favor of the spirit in order to aid or assist you so no. If you kissed it prayed to it and expected that to earn you some protection or divine help then yes
English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin Joshua 7:6. Then Joshua tore his clothes, and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of the LORD until evening, he and the elders of Israel; and they put dust on their heads
English

@SquarchT @OwenBenjamin Did he command they worship it? I dont see people giving Veneration or worship to it, like they do their saints who the pictures are of and they pray to bow to and kiss.
English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin So does kissing and loving a picture of your deceased wife in her memory = worship
English

@SquarchT @OwenBenjamin This is what I mean by semantics loopholes venerated and worshipped are synonyms and only get treated differently by religions to try and make stupid people think it isnt hypocrisy because we used a different word and that means the actions are different, thats semantics.
English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin We do not worship either, you keep asserting that, justify that claim.
English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin Yet again did God command idolatry when He ordered angelic images in The Temple and Ark of the Covenant?
English

@SquarchT @OwenBenjamin Im observing the behavioral patterns and calling out the semantics you're using to try and justify the veneration and worship of things other then the father/creator/most high.
English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin Like owen who does a farmland and come work for me schemes in his agree with me or be exiled, doxxed, and your family attacked (JimBob and his wife for example)
English

@SquarchT @OwenBenjamin We can do that on the original thread, new thread new topic. We're talking cukt leaders here
English

@CptBorshninkov from @OwenBenjamin ‘s hairy gay bears is a good example of the iq and intellectual honesty out of their cult

English

@whatatime85 @OwenBenjamin He made a post. Instead of being a blind follower i did the research with very quick searches to debunk it. Thats the house of cards of the bears, if you research owens ludicrous claims youll see he is wrong. I used to be a “bear” for about 3 years until He denied Holy Trinity.
English

@SquarchT @OwenBenjamin I attacked you? Aren’t people mad cause he made a picture or something. That’s what I thought all this was over. Or you just wanted to correct the art history timeline?
English

@whatatime85 @OwenBenjamin He is attacking Iconography with a lie, i refute that lie, you as a blind follower are being a disingenuous snake in an attempt to troll. Starting with the no one cares gif. Clearly owen cares enough to post about icons and lie and you care enough to run defense/obfuscate
English

@CptBorshninkov @OwenBenjamin You are conflating icons with idols especially considering they are carved statues. Yet again that style of icon doesn’t originate elsewhere. Thats like arguing that because shakespeare wrote a comedy that all comedians are shakespearian.
English

@SquarchT @OwenBenjamin Right and I told you, you were correct about the paintings but not about the concept of icon. This is the natural evolution of conversation. Are you OK you seem pressed
English
