Today we heard the closing defence speeches of the Filton 6 trial, with all defendants except Sam Corner choosing to dismiss their lawyers and represent themselves. Corner, who in addition to criminal damage faces a charge of grievous bodily harm with intent, remained represented in court. Re the previous Mail sting lawyers being cleared of misconduct see: legalfutures.co.uk/latest-news/th… - journalists just don't understand the difference between general information on the phone and actual advice on preparing a claim.

A similar situation could well result in the smear of the second adviser in this article. You don't know what the adviser was told/was concerned about. In the previous Mail investigation the lawyer could tell something dodgy was going on but worried the client was the victim.
