@travmxx @tele_kurnik @TheIshikawaRin unfortunately this isnt true, a large portion of mods rely on visual libraries that will need to be rewritten to work with vulkan Although I am still entirely on board with updating minecraft to use vulkan, even if modding wont be able to instantly keep up with modern minecraft

@tele_kurnik @TheIshikawaRin you realize that like 99% of mods will still work right??? the only mods that will need an actual rewrite are mods that change / tinker with the rending engine (i.e. sodium, lithium, iris, optifine, etc)

Why are some Minecraft players so angry about Java finally getting a performance overhaul and Vulkan support? Vulkan is a major net positive for the game as a whole and you won't need to have Sodium + 5 other performance mods installed by default anymore
