Did some airplane travel this week- the number of people back to wearing masks over hantavirus and Ebola is truly shocking.
I feel sad for the people who live their lives in fear over over-hyped, extremely rare diseases.
People, so fearful that they can't go out in public or travel without masks...
I pity them, I worry for their mental health, I even worry for our country that has so many guillible people - but these poor fools are not my enemy.

@1goodtern The term you're referring to is comorbidity, which is where an existing condition increases mortality of any other illness by compounding issues for the autoimmune system, it's the classic threat to post op patients: any kind of infection.

That was accurate then… and it remains accurate today.
You catch it from breathing in dust from rodent urine, droppings, or saliva — not from other humans.

As is the same with every other set of PCR test reagents, Hantavirus PCR test kits comes with the legal disclaimer they are not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
If the news are telling you someone has been diagnosed positive from a PCR test they are committing fraud.
