As it appears, due to political interference, National Council of Higher Education also treads very carefully in supervising the quality of education at the Giraffe 🦒 . That is how they get away with glaring quality compromises and disregard for clients that no other university can be permitted to run with. That is also how they get the impunity to respond to accountability calls by weaponising courts to gag the public. It might appear as if this is a private matter that shouldn’t bother us, but where training of health workers is concerned, soon or later we shall all pay the price for this impunity. A country that can afford to compromise on training of health workers can only be a country of people who don’t care about the lives of their people. It is actually stupidity. Spire could be persecuted today for speaking out, but at least we won’t say we didn’t see this coming. I still hold the hope that at some point we will realise that not everything should be politicised.

Life is so hard in this country, this boy walks from Mukono to Kampala selling these plastic materials. He is only paid 20% on his sales and if he doesn’t sell then he won’t be paid. After long hours of walking this is where he managed to sit and rest💔

@kirya_ug Those companies are scammers and I don't know why those responsible don't pick interest in investigating such companies. They bring desperate youths from villages, charge them between 50,000-100,000 for registration and give them items to hawk. It is about scamming not business

We all have been there, ask Sudhir what happened to him while he drove a taxi in UK. In my S4 Vacation i used to ride Matoke, Cassava, Dry maize into Hoima city, i started hassling in primary 3 selling mberenge, and Binyobwa (hard corn and gnuts), would make banana juice and sell on saturday in our trading centre. I was not from a poor family, i just enjoy hassling seeing money coming into my pocket. I was not paying my school fees not even exercise books or pens, everything was catered for. Let him hassle, he will have a story to tell and inspire his children. TODAYS Society is sick, we nolonger CREDIT hardwork, but sympathise hard work👇👇👇👇👇👇

So sad about this Maternal and Newborn death, its indeed horrible and un desirable. Whereas the Ministry of Health has Instituted all it can, with Local Maternity & Neonatal Systems across Uganda, Health worker attitude - patient relationship, Ethics has failed. As a #Nutritionist, I find sometimes so touching, while on ward, patient delays and when you listen to the story - its hard out there. Its my humble call, all health workers, to manage patients without asking for incentives, money will come if you perform with diligence.
