#AmazonMGM’s documentary #Melania got +235 theatres added on 2nd frame, but even the First Lady’s doc couldn’t escaped the #SuperBowl scare, grossing solid 2.4M on 2nd 3-day weekend over just 2.003 theatres, but harsh -66.6% drop from opening (vs #AmIRacist?’s 2.5M over 1.600 theatres in 2024 , -45.7%, #MonkeyKingdom’s 3.4M over 2.012 theatres in 2015, -24.8%), #BornInChina 2.4M over 1.508 theatres in 2017, -50.2%, & #AfterDeath’s 2M over 2.730 theatres in 2023, -60.8%)
Even so, It hits a 13.4M cume domestically, beating #HillarysAmericaTheSecretHistoryoftheDemocraticParty’s 13.1M run as #30

And yeah, #AmazonMGM paid a pricey 75M in total costs for #Melania’s marketing (35M) & global distribution rights across all platforms (40M), definitely not cheap enough for a documentary to make its money back while still in theatres, but with Amazon we know their endgame is its performance on #PrimeVideo later on. Amazon uses theatres only to raise awareness and pedigree to their content, so they won’t care about a theatrical failure as much as a legacy Hollywood studio surely would.

The Sandu government only opened two polling stations for the 400,000 Moldovan citizens in Russia. They only sent 10,000 ballots, and only 4,000 votes were counted, as the polls closed early, with huge numbers of Moldovans still standing in line outside the polling stations.

Elections in Moldavia are a farce, and the fact that they are manipulating them so openly and brazenly is one of the reasons why I believe EU elites plan to use the Moldovan population as a battering ram against Russia. Moldova has a very large diaspora. 50/50 in Russia and the EU. They virtually ban Moldovan citizens in Russia from voting in Moldovan elections, and stuff ballots shamelessly in the EU. They ban a bunch of political parties from participating in the elections on made-up pretexts - some of those literally the day before the election -, and in the run-up they arrested a ton of people, including politicians, including a governor, and do thousands of raids at people's homes (over 3,000 individual home searches, according to the former Moldovan Minister of Justice). They also publicly state that they WILL annul the elections if they don't like the result - just like in Romania before. Acting this openly only makes sense as an emergency measure of desperation.
