@SnailTideway 1. Penultimate weekend in July. 2. Always fun! 3. 2 days - juniors, seniors, mixed and masters events for all. 4. Free on-site camping. Bar, BBQ and refreshments all weekend. Saturday night party in the marquee with DJ. 5. All on-site, spectators can view last 500m from the bank.

Some regatta planning for next year; summer small pots. Requirements: 1. Post HRR 2. Is fun 3. 2 day weekend, senior events both days 4. Camping/Bar/Social 5. Small site, so no walking miles to watch racing/to campsite/boathouse etc 6. England/Wales Recommendations please.

@RowingVoice We remember the day fondly, as the news broke to our members during our regatta weekend! Račice was somewhat of a lucky venue for us, as two of our former junior internationals won gold a year later in the same boat at the WJRC!

@StNeotsRC Excellent! Though elite rowing isn't something everyone can or wants to carry on with for years, it doesn't surprise me that she's still involved with the sport. It was a very magic moment to be there for.

The 2009 world U23s here in Racice was notable (in GBR) for the British women's eight being the first ever GBR W8+ of any age-group to win a world championships gold. Talk about trailblazing - it's always hard to be the first. Sowed the seeds for the Rio silver, for sure.

Entries for the St Neots Small Boats Head on Sunday 2 October are now open on BROE! Entries close at 12:00pm on Saturday 24 September. Don’t miss out!
