Trumps biggest geopolitical blunder is Ukraine, by far.
It’s genuinely baffling.
Being friendly with Russia, and harsh on Ukraine, makes no sense strategically, financially and—most importantly—morally.
It’s genuinely insane.
The Vice President Vance literally said that he is PROUD of not supporting Ukraine. What a disgrace.
Russia is not an ally to America.
They stand opposed to the Western world in almost every way.
If they could push a button and make America self destruct, they would.
In Ukraine, you have a brave people who LOVED America. A people who would be powerful allies to the US on multiple levels.
Throwing them under the bus at their time of need is a grave mistake.
Ukraine will rise from this war against their aggressor as a formidable power.
They will get there despite Americas lack of support.
I fully support Trump in his actions against the Islamic regime, and his support for Israel. I will continue supporting and cheering him on in that regard, with alacrity.
But his stance against Ukraine really is an embarrassment. A huge mistake. History will not look kindly on that aspect of his actions.

@DCK165 @IuliiaMendel I will hear your opinion after you visit my hometown and spend at least two weeks under Iranian drones and bomb explosions. There is no safe place. Our nation is fragmented and cannot vote.
English

@StSt76766993 @IuliiaMendel That has to be a far minority of the population, so basically it’s just an excuse

Today, Zelenskyy contradicted his earlier statements, claiming that Donald Trump cannot serve as a guarantor of peace in Ukraine. “President Trump is in office for only another two and a half years — and then what?” he asked.
However, if we follow this logic, no democratically elected leader who respects term limits and participates in elections could ever be a guarantor of peace. According to this approach, the only reliable guarantor would be a leader who clings to power indefinitely.

English

@DCK165 @IuliiaMendel Since then when your citizens cannot vote because they are abroad, in captivity, or they risk being killed by Russians while standing in line to the voting booth. But you wouldn't know that.
English

@DCK165 @IuliiaMendel He didn't overstay his limit. We do not hold elections during the active war.
English

@IuliiaMendel Zelenskyy has already over stayed his term. So what’s his point

Just awful. In time, I’m sure the truth about who this person really is will come out. My thoughts and prayers are with the families affected. In all my years living in Ukraine, I’ve never seen or heard anything like this.

NEW: Brazilian politician Fabiana Bolsonaro performs blackface to show trans people that putting dark foundation on her face doesn't make her black, just like changing your body doesn't make you a different gender.
The incident was reportedly a protest against the appointment of federal lawmaker Erika Hilton, a trans woman.
"I am painted black on the outside. I identify as black. So why can't I preside over the anti-racism commission? Why can't I take care of this agenda? Because I am not black."

In the photo on the left is an ordinary boy, a schoolboy from Brovary, who was only 13 years old. His name is Yelisey Ryabokon.
On the right is the hat the boy was wearing, completely riddled with bullets and shrapnel, as well as his white T-shirt, which he put on over his jacket to show the russians that he was a civilian.
However, the bullets from the russian soldiers pierced right through it.
This is a terrible reminder of what happened.
On March 11, 2022, Yelisey's family tried to escape from a village called Peremoha, which had already been captured by the Russians.
As they were driving, the Russian soldiers first waved at them, as if wishing them a safe journey.
But then, for no reason at all, they simply opened fire on the car full of people. When the column came under fire, Yelisey's mother and younger son were in one car, while the boy himself was riding in another.
The first car exploded after taking a direct hit from a shell; people started jumping out of the cabin and hiding.“I dragged the little one by the hood,” Inna recalled.
She hoped that her older son was alive and simply hadn’t managed to get out of the car. It was enough for her to glance at her son to understand: he had died instantly. The mother miraculously managed to survive and pull her younger son out from under the shelling.
At first, Yelisey was buried simply in someone’s vegetable garden in that village. Only after some time was the family able to transport his body back home to Brovary to bury him properly.
The coffin was never opened. His father Yevhen, who serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was never able to see his son one last time.
Yelisey’s mother Inna says: she wants the whole world to know what Russia has done in Ukraine. So that people remember every murdered child, every woman. So that Russia is held accountable for all these crimes.
Those who knew Yelisey say he was a very calm, polite, and always smiling boy.
In May of that year, he would have turned 14…

I am the Ukrainian skeleton racer who was wrongfully disqualified from the Olympics last month because of my “Memory Helmet.”
Tonight in Milano-Cortina, the Paralympic Games are opening. The Committee has bizarrely permitted Russian soldier-athletes to participate under the Russian flag.
The head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) literally stated that they don’t care about what Russian soldiers did in Ukraine. The problem is that we do care.
They are killing Ukrainians on the battlefield, bombing our cities, and committing genocide. Now, with this step of allowing them to compete, the IPC is giving them the opportunity to continue committing genocide by spreading Russian narratives with Russian flags and symbols.
They try to manipulate the situation by pointing out that the movement started after World War II, but during World War II the Olympic Games were cancelled, and German athletes were not invited and did not take part in the Games until 1952.
It looks like the head of the IPC doesn’t know the history of the Olympic and Paralympic movement at all.
What a shame.
This whole story is just getting worse and worse.

Horrors of russian terror — firsthand.
A Kherson resident describing life in a residential high-rise in the city’s riverside area:
“Second day in a row drones are attacking our building.
Half the building has burned down and it’s still burning.
People still live here. They’re trying to put out the fire themselves. There are elderly people, young families, even children.”
About 12 civilians are still inside.
And while the world admires the myth of endless Ukrainian resilience, ordinary Ukrainians are suffering and dying — largely left to face this terror alone.
