Should @TraegerGrills CEO (Jeremy Andrus) run for Governor? Some are saying he would "grill the competition."

The official account: Returned to the angel Moroni
Joseph Smith stated that, once the translation was complete, he returned the plates to the angel (identified as Moroni) who originally delivered them to him. In his official 1838 history (now canonized as Joseph Smith—History 1:60 in the Pearl of Great Price), Smith wrote:
“When, according to arrangements, the messenger called for them, I delivered them up to him; and he has them in his charge until this day.”
This is the version consistently presented in official Latter-day Saint histories and teachings. The plates were taken back into the angel’s custody (often understood as being removed from the earth or kept in heaven), and Moroni “has them in his charge.” Smith did not provide further details about the return or the angel’s actions. Early associates such as Martin Harris also referred to the plates being taken back by the angel after translation.1e0c2c
2. The “cave in Cumorah” account (from early Mormon leaders)
A separate tradition, reported by several early church figures, describes Joseph Smith (accompanied by Oliver Cowdery and possibly David Whitmer or others) physically returning the plates to a cave inside the Hill Cumorah in New York. In this cave, they reportedly placed the plates on a table alongside “many wagon loads” of other ancient records (gold plates), the sword of Laban, a breastplate, and other artifacts.
Key reports include:
Brigham Young (1877 discourse, relaying what Oliver Cowdery told him): The hill opened up; they walked into a large room with piles of plates stacked like “wagon loads,” the sword of Laban hanging on the wall (or later laid on the table), and other items. They deposited the plates there.
David Whitmer (interviews in 1878 and later): He described the plates being returned to a cave in the hill (though one later statement said the plates he saw were not in the Cumorah cave).
At least 10 second- or third-hand accounts from the mid-1800s onward repeat variations of this cave story, often citing Cowdery, Whitmer, or Hyrum Smith.

What if we had another document he translated?
Like a papyri or something?
Bruce North@BruceNorth46058
If we had the golden plates in a museum, and every expert in the world agreed Joseph translated the Book of Mormon correctly, would that "prove" The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true? Would everyone be compelled to join the Church?

@StStymie Incredible that you found this. I would stare at this exact painting on my computer as I got psyched up for writing a new chapter.
